Tahoe Dave's Skis & Boards — Attraction in Truckee

Our large group rented snowboards, skis, and snow shoes from Tahoe Dave's. Because of our high volume, they were generous enough to give us a small discount on our equipment rental. Getting the equipment was easy and quick. They have lots of equipment available for rent, depending on your needs, all good quality and well maintained, at a good price. I only got the board and boots, but others in my party rented helmets and goggles. One friend's snowboard bag was lost by the airline, and the employees were even very knowledgeable about the airline's lost luggage reimbursement policy.

Later when we switched out our boards and skis for the snowshoes, that process was also seamless. If you don't have good warm winter boots, they have those to rent as well, to go with the snowshoes.

If we go back to North Lake Tahoe, we'll definitely go back to...

No complaints here was able to rent for 5 days for under $150 save the hassle of traveling with own equipment. I have sent equipment ahead of time but still way easier renting and tahoe Dave's staff Parker for instance was super helpful approachable and good with answering questions.

I only travel first class and it's a chore carrying my Louis Vuitton luggage and my snow sports equipment at same time. I'd hate to snag my Breitling watch lugging a snowboard and boots so renting is just common sense. True I could afford to buy new and donate it to some poor middle class white family because white lives matter too. Tahoe Dave's made it easy and was so so inexpensive. With the money saved I I bought $90 steak dinners for 5 nights and drank & drank 95 point wines. Ahh...

We were a group of 4 people renting skis. On all 4 skis the edges were not well prepared. there were burrs on the outside.

In my case I gave a brief discription about skills and experience (Which is pretty decent) and the ski I got was not really exciting.,

When I changed the ski against another one the edges weren't good as well. They declined to prepare them - they mentioned that they do not have a proper machine for that!!!! They said then that the skip the contract and give money back.

One other colleague who wanted to change skis faced exactly the same issue. He also gave back his skis and the people yelled "you are the most picky customer of the season"

My recommendation for renting skis ist Granite Chief in Truckee.... More competent and...
