This place was recommended to me by a friend, but my partner and I both had a pretty meh experience. His simple breakfast sandwich took at least 10 mins to make. I was being indecisive about what I wanted so I ordered after him. I got a breakfast wrap and asked for spinach, cheese, egg, and sausage. They charge at least $1.50 for each of those. The friendly cashier recommended adding potatoes and I said sure. Then we proceeded to wait 20 mins for the sandwich. I asked for a status update and when she checked she said it had just been made. I thought that was weird since a bunch of ppl who ordered after us got their orders before us. So I open the $11 wrap and find a small sandwich without the $2 sausage. It had taken so long to get this made that I didn't want to bother getting it fixed. I was super disappointed. If it hadn't taken so long or if they had remembered the sausage I would have rated it 3 stars. But the sandwich also was stuck to the paper they wrapped it in. I won't be coming back and won't be recommending this place to anyone else. Bummer because they were friendly. TDLR: I could have microwaved a much better breakfast sandwich in a fraction of the time and at a fraction...
Read moreI found myself exploring the Truckee area after finishing a hike, I was thirsty and wanted a small bite- sadly I got neither as I strolled into Wild Cherries. The place was cozy with a lovely outside seating area. I immediately didn’t care for the “order at the counter” method they have going on. (My personal preference is to sit with available waitstaff) Needless of my feelings I was already there. The next inconvenience was nothing on their menu was cooked to order, it was sandwiches, wraps, quiches, pastries, etc. (for some this may not be an issue) The reason why I did not get to eat was because the line was literally out the door and the staff was in chill vibe, but given it’s a vacation hot-spot I can somewhat understand. I however was not inclined to wait. I felt a need to just provide you feedback on what to expect & what they offer. Please help yourself if you have more patience than me....
Read moreWe house sat and on our way out she suggested we eat here for a quick breakfast. There are multiple things wrong with this place!
1 hair, hair, hair. We had hair in a quiche. Strike number number one.
2 another hair in the quiche. Strike two
3 there was a small hair in the pumpkin swirl cheesecake. Strike 3.
The chorizo burrito, I ordered half and received half but it tasted like regular breakfast sausage with chorizo spices on the eggs. I’m tired of restaurants in the USA adding filler like beans and rice into dishes to cut costs and I feel this place is doing that.
The person making the drinks was slow, ordered a mango smoothie, chai latte and a moka.
The cheesecake was good and the mango smoothie. The rest needs improvement esp with the hair issue.
We won’t be back. The bathroom was gross with flys and weird art on the wall. We should have gone to Safeway for a quick breakfast, it’s...
