Reynoldsburg Community Center YMCA - YMCA of Central Ohio — Attraction in Truro Township

The Reynoldsburg YMCA is so dysfunctional and I've personally spoken with so many frustrated members that at times I think they should just shut it completely down until they can hire some leadership that actually WANTS to solve problems. And actually WANTS to hire enough staff to keep the basketball courts MAINTAINED correctly and the outside pool OPEN and operating for it's members.

THE BASKETBALL COURTS: Over the past year or two I've contacted countless YWCA people explaining that when the 4 basketball hoops even have nets they are not being installed properly at all. They are being rigged with 12 zip ties each which tend to scratch up any good balls members bring and is actually DANGEROUS if someone's hand accidently gets caught in the net because it can't then breakaway. The "reason" they say they can't install nets PROPERLY is the maintenance guy is tired of doing HIS JOB because some of the kids hang on the nets. COME ON SERIOUSLY!!! It's his job! And management saying they can't control KIDS at their business is ridiculous. I've said many times just put up a sign saying anybody caught in person or on camera hanging on the basketball net will have their membership suspended for a month... and then do that. Kick a couple kids out for a month, word would quickly spread, problem solved. But just like why they can't DO THEIR JOBS and replace the nets properly the "management leaders" there say they don't have any staff that can keep an eye on the gym so they've decide to just let THE CHILDREN run the show.

THE POOL: They never hire enough Lifeguards and they can't keep any POOL MANAGER that even remotely cares if members can't use their pool. This pool should accommodate 100 people but it's usually only allowing 50. And even then it most often doesn't open on time. And what you end up with is 16 year old Lifeguards handing out excuses for their management. Like... Pool Supervisor quit... Pool Supervisor is doing multiple pools and the Reynoldsburg one isn't her "priority"... just found out at opening time pool chemicals aren't right... pool is an inch lower than maximum and NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO FILL IT... or somebody there does know how to add water BUT THEY AREN'T ALLLOWED IN THE PUMP ROOM TO DO IT BECAUSE THEY AREN'T 18. They can't even go in the pump room to show another employee who is 18 how to turn on the water spiqot. They're always trying to "call somebody" to get permission TO DO THEIR JOBS! And that takes literally hours. So it's... get there early and stand in line for the pool to open late. Then tons of members get stopped from entering because of an ever evolving laundry list of reasons.

PLEASE SOMEBODY ON THE REYNOLDSBURG CITY COUNSEL OR THE MAYOR'S OFFICE LOOK INTO THIS AND PUSH YOUR CITY'S YMCA TO HIRE SOMEBODY WHO CARES AND CAN GET...

CRITICAL UPDATE: ALCOHOL FOUND IN BLESSING BOX!!!! ENSURE YOU KEEP YOUR CHILDREN SAFE!! The blessing box at this location not only had 2 packets of beets expired May 2022, it also contained a can of Prickly Pear Hard Seltzer with 4% Alcohol FREE FOR ALL TO GRAB & CONSUME-EVEN YOUR KID. There were several children present on this day, in fact, and anyone of them could have opened the box looking for a beverage and drank this alcohol. ELIZABETH LINDALE needs fired! No one in leadership neglects to have STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES IN PLACE TO PREVENT INSTANCES SUCH AS THIS. GET A JOB ROLE IN PLACE TO HAVE SOMEONE GO AND CHECK THESE BLESSING BOXES BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SICK OR HARMED BY NEGLIGENCE

PLEASE ensure if you are low income and need scholarship or assistance this location is utilizing the sliding fee scale. A complaint has been placed as a family contacted me noting Elizabeth Zingale stated the sliding fee scale income and household size guidelines was not public information. Anytime a place receives subsidy or funding for helping disadvantaged populations IT IS PUBLIC!!! Now Elizabeth is getting this entity audited. She thought she was cute and refused to go talk to the consumer face to face. I complaint came in over a year ago about the mistreatment of a black family. It appears this location may not want certain people REALLY coming here, don't know but now eyes are on them and the person has been advised to submit complaint to Ohio Attorney General to start with to ensure the amount charged for household and income is based of sliding fee. "KRISTINA" first told the family the costs was $32.96 then increased the price to $42 and change. The entity will be turned into the IRS for audit as well. The YMCA itself is a great place, it is the people that ruin the reputation. This is a NON PROFIT, I dare Elizabeth LIE to the public and attempt to conceal the sliding fee scale from a paying consumer she and "KRISTINA" just scammed and need to ensure they are IMMEDIATELY refunded...
