Fox in a Box Tucson Escape Room — Attraction in Tucson

This is the third year in a row our family has come to Fox in a Box for our annual escape adventure. It's become our Christmas holiday tradition– a present to the whole family from one of our adult daughters. 2 years ago we started with the Zombie Lab and had a blast. With all 5 of us working together, talking our way through the details we noticed in the room and thinking out loud, we were able to puzzle our way through. We used several of the offered hints and solved the zombie crisis with some time to spare. It was a blast.

One year ago we tackled the Bank Robbery room– this time bringing along an extra person. This room was somewhat harder to solve than the Zombie Lab we had done before, but with a group of 6 of us, once again we found that by talking out loud and working together we made a great team and were able to finish the challenge. We were excited to hear Fox in a Box opened a third room in time for our annual visit last month, and once again had a lot of fun solving the Wild West room. As a former creator of escape room games, I have been severely underwhelmed at the establishments around the Tucson area. However, Fox In A Box went above and beyond with their set and game design. The clue lines made sense and were challenging but fun. I don't believe everyone is cut out to make these games, as it takes a lot of thought and deliberate action to combine into a game and theme that work well - and people can solve! The game masters here are obviously happy to be there and even happier to help. The Game Masters are trained well on the games and pay close attention to your team. I usually play with one other person and this is sometimes tricky for a game master- but we have done exceptionally well with all games so far- with great help from the Game Master! It doesn't matter if you have never done an escape room or are someone who loves them and have done a lot of these, these rooms are for you. We did both rooms at this location and thought both rooms were great. The zombie lab room is a bit easier than the bank room so if you've never done one you might start in the zombie lab, and no there is no zombie in the room with you. The owners were fantastic and also fantastic at being game masters for their games. I loved their booking/reservation system. We like to play rooms by ourselves and not be combined with people we don't know so it worked well for us. We also liked their hint system, one of the best we have experienced. You really must do these rooms if you like or even want to try escape rooms.
