Blades Hair Design — Local services in Tucson

I highly recommend blades hair design. Today was my second time going there and both times Ive gotten an excellent haircut. I've had both Kaydee and Kayla and both of them did a fantastic job. From my experience what differentiates Blades from other places is that the hairstylists really seem to care about your haircut, they will work with you to get the look you want and personalize it to your hair and your face. Its obvious they have a tremendous amount of pride in there work and take great care and responsibility for what they do. Plus they guarantee their haircuts by saying that if you notice any issues in the following week you can give them a call and the will touch up any areas free of charge. I went here in 2023 to get a hair cut and color. I was satisfied with the hair outcome, but not with the attitude of the stylist. She repeatedly called my hair "thin" and "gnarly." She claimed that blow drying heats the hair to 400 degrees (which does not seem to be true for hair dryers, maybe if you were talking about a flat iron) and that my hair was damaged from blow drying it. She also mentioned an expensive/lengthy service another stylist at the salon provides where they trim each hair individually. Kaydee is incredible! The first time I went to Blades, my hair was in the middle of being grown out and I had no idea what to do with it. I was also super nervous, it was my first time going to a place like this, and I didn’t know what to expect as a transfem person. Kaydee was super understanding and respectful, even taking time with me to look at different hair styles she thought may interest me.
