I absolutely adore this place! I just moved here from Phoenix, and this place is like a home away from home. The atmosphere is so friendly, the service is wonderful, and it’s a great place to relax and work.

I really believe it has something for everyone: saccharine-sweet iced teas, a comforting hot tea service, quick on-tap drinks for busy people, healthy and trendy options for the hipster type, and creative creations unique to the Scented Leaf. Whether you want something grassy or clean, mild or strong, fruity or creamy, energizing or relaxing, authentic or herbal, cleansing or comforting– you’ll find it here!

Besides classic hot or iced teas, you can also order pour-over coffee, chai lattes, matcha, matcha lattes, and unique herbal blends of fruits, spices, herbs, and flowers. There’s also a small selection of desserts, pastries, and snack/breakfast foods. You can add different levels of sweetener, lemon, and milk to any tea, and they offer vegan options like almond and coconut milk.

They also offer unexpected selections such as nitro cold-brew coffee and nitro matcha (drinks infused with nitrogen gas to create a frothy head), pu’er tea (a fermented Chinese tea that is often stored pressed into shapes), butterfly-pea tea (a flavorless blue tea that changes colors when combined with an acid), and mate (a caffeinated South American tea-like beverage).

If you fall in love just as I did, you’ll probably also be extremely thankful for their refill policy. After purchasing an iced tea drink, you can refill it twice that day with any of the daily tap teas. Your first refill costs $0.50 for a 16oz and $1.00 for a 24oz, and the second refill is completely free.

If it’s your first time visiting, I recommend sharing your personal preferences with the friendly staff and letting them suggest a tea that fits best. My favorites, though, are the milk oolong, jasmine leaf, honey vanilla, and...

This is my absolute favorite place on University. The interior is beautiful, the atmosphere is cozy, service is great, and the teas are delicious.

I love stopping by to just get a tea and go, but staying in to study is also one of the best things to do here. It's so easy to focus on my work with a nice cup of tea and forget about the world in this shop.

I've made it a goal to try a new tea every day, but my personal favorites so far are the House Black and Raspberry Rose. Just don't get carried away and drink too much! This is probably the only place where I've liked the drinks so much that I made myself sick by having too many 😅.

The refill system is too good to resist. The first is paid (at a lower price than the original drink), and the second refill is free. So you can have three drinks for what I'm pretty sure would be just one at a different shop. I visited so many times at this point that I actually ended up buying a reusable cup for yet another discount.

My only complaint is that the snack options aren't very good, but for their drink quality and the wonderful attitude the baristas have, it's not a big issue for me. If I'm staying, it's to study, and I've usually already eaten at one of the dozens of places nearby since it's in a really good area.

If you're in the area or starting school, make sure to stop by here, you...

A unique gem on University Bvld.

This tea house is one of a very few number of Tucson businesses that actually pays attention to the details. It's the little things that make the difference between an mediocre and an outstanding experience and Scented Leaf has nailed it.

They offer full tea service, which means they prepare a pot of tea and serve it to your table. You can also get both hot and iced teas to go. I definitely suggest checking out their selection of iced teas as it's a refreshing change from the boring green or black tea options available at the large coffee chains.

The selection of teas is extensive and both Shane and the employees have impressive knowledge of the qualities of each tea. Not a tea snob? Not to worry, they will definitely help you find something you will love.

Surprisingly the deserts that they have are incredible as well. I'm a fan of the white chocolate cheesecake.

All in all an excellent experience. I highly suggest giving it a try, even if you're not usually a...

Great place to hang out or study that I return to frequently. Comfy chairs, lots of charger outlets, and outdoor seating options. Between on tap and what they will steep for you, there’s about 50 options for tea. The drinks aren’t cheap, but the first refill is only $1-2 depending on size and the second is free so I’m not really complaining. Two notes: 1. It gets PACKED, so go early while undergrads are still asleep if you want a quieter experience. However, the workers get through the lines efficiently so even if you can’t find seating, you won’t wait in line long. 2) My only really complaint is the music can be on the loud side depending on the day (maybe who is working?). If you want to study, maybe bring some earbuds.
