Gadabout SalonSpas - Speedway — Attraction in Tucson

My first time at Gadabout was yesterday 7/23/19. I usually do my hair myself (I am a stylist elsewhere) but for what I wanted this time, I needed an expert and someone else's help who I could trust. I came on here and saw that Marisol at the Speedway location was mentioned the most (she works at the Speedway location) when it came to color and lifting/bleaching. I am so happy that I chose her to do such a project on my hair. Going lighter can be scary because you are giving someone the power to either create a masterpiece or completely ruin/damage your hair. Marisol did everything that I wanted and more, she was so kind and gentle and really did have the health of my hair in mind and was realistic about what was achievable. She knew exactly what she was doing and treated my hair as if it was hers. Marisol did what she could without damaging my hair and everything that she used product wise was amazing and so gentle! My hair is SO light just from one sitting of 3 hours. Tone was perfect, and my hair does not feel damaged at all, honestly. Wow, I am honestly in shock with the results. Did not think that my experience or my hair could be this amazing. Definitely going back to her and I highly recommend her to anyone else that is looking to color their hair (especially lightening/bleaching). Before and...

Called day-of and was able to get a same-day appointment for a bangs trim and blow out. I'd just moved from Michigan and was still figuring out where things are around Tucson, so I arrived a few minutes late. My stylist, Marc, was still incredibly polite and accommodating, and was waiting to greet me by the front desk. He looked super professional and was very welcoming! The salon was relatively busy (always a good sign, IMHO, esp when I'm looking for a new salon) and the decor was quite hip. Marc gave an excellent scalp and neck massage during the shampoo and led me to a well-lit workstation with a comfortable chair. He did a fantastic job with trimming my bangs, asking lots of questions throughout, and was very gentle with my (fine, wavy) hair during the blowout. Several stylists interacted with Marc throughout the appointment and were super chill and very polite. At the end of the appointment I was left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and like my day had been turned around. Despite some reviews having said that Gadabout was pricey, I felt like the price I paid was both fair and accurate for the service I received. I will definitely be returning to Gadabout--I'm so grateful that I found them as soon as I did after my move to Tucson. I usually have to try a lot of different salons before settling on one. Worse experience ever!!!, they ruined my hair by coloring it black when all I wanted was for them to tone my orange highlights I had from before, I told them the same day I didn’t like it that it was to dark and redish but they were to busy to take me back the same day, I had a special event to go to the next day so I ended up going to Ulta for them to try and fix it a little, they tried by shampooing it but it wouldn’t come out, so they had to bleach it because my black was permanent, it still didn’t look good because in order for my hair not to get damage they have to lighten it by steps, it’s going to cost me a lot of money and time to take the back and red out, the manager there wasn’t very nice about it either, she didn’t want to give me my money back but it doesn’t matter anymore since my hair it’s already ruined, I even talk to a lawyer about the damage they cause me not only to my hair but to my mental stress, I got depressed because of it, Us ladies know how sad it can be when it comes for someone ruining our hair like that, I gave 1 star because the hair stylist was super nice, but everything else was horrible starting with my hair and ending...
