i recently bought the newest xbox on august 2nd. yesterday it completely gave out on us and when checking my receipt from game stop i noticed the receipt was good for one month. since it was just a few days past one month since we bought it from them i figured i would give them a call in hopes they would want to try to help us with this problem. The lady i spoke with was very kind but stated when she spoke with her manager she was told they can do absolutely nothing for us in regards to helping us with our issue and to take it up with Microsoft. I understand that this is a policy of theirs and that the receipt states it clearly but the fact that they weren't even willing to offer to take a look at it or do anything to try and help us, especially with how soon it broke down, i was just very disappointed in them to say the least. My husband and i are frequent and loyal shoppers at game stop and after this experience we have both decided we will just not be returning or recommending their business to anyone we know from now on. We have decided to just stick with amazon or best buy for future purchases because we know we can trust that if we buy from those companies they will do everything in their power to make sure customer satisfaction is met, whereas game stop had no interest in our satisfaction. i would advise others to...

i'd like to start off by saying i've never had a problem with gamestop, let alone this one since it's within riding distance and not out of the way from work. this has be my favorite gamestop since it's close to me not just in a way of distance, but it was one of the first ones i've been to.
but this review has to be the hardest one i've had to write.
I just got off work and was considering getting Echoes of Wisdom from Gamestop if they were going to have a late night early release that was the condition, if not then i'll pick it up on my way home from work tomorrow.
that is until i went inside.
i'm barely in the store for a second, there were two employees there one male, one female. the Male welcomes me in and the female stares me down. i start to ask if they were going to do a late night release of "Echoes of Wisdom" but i was barely able to get the title out before the woman decided to cut me off by stating no. i thank them and walk out.

The girl at the register still changed the name put all of my information changing his account without my permission against what I repeatedly told her. I came in today and was assisted by Grayson, who was just as dismissive and rude. I’m starting to realize this is a reoccurring theme at GameStop in general and kind of reaffirms why I just don’t do business here anymore. I’d rather save myself a headache and buy games through Amazon or pick them up at Target or absolutely anywhere else because it’s not just one negative experience it’s repeated negative encounters with GameStop employees if you don’t like your job quit go work somewhere else but definitely don’t make it the consumers problem that you can get your life together and find something better. Trade-in values are still bare minimum. You basically getting nothing for games that they’re going to sell at six times the price they pay you for them.
