I'M not the eat out type, for many reasons....Now if the food and service is great I'll occasionally treat my family! On mother's day after church visited this place due to two friends of mine HIGHLY recommended. They both thought due to my pickiness with food, this place would deliver. OMG the taste buds were on fire 🔥 I was so pleased! So I waited til my grandson's graduation to take everyone! I bragged the whole week up til the day AND WHAT A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT 😔. My daughter pointed two hair perfectly sitting under a layer of scrambled eggs! What didn't seat well was that they were two separate hairs sitting next to each other??? So not to make a scene we showed the waiter whom reacted accordingly. Though not sure about the folks but the table of food can now go back, the thought of hair in my food that I paid for No mam! So this manager woman comes up after I refuse to eat my dish which I had not touched says WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT? I replied Not sure but not willing to eat through it to find out either! She had major attitude and said this is mom/pop business if you can't find REASON IM NOT REFUNDING! I laughed to avoid telling her where she could put her response! Though she read through the laughter before I could grab my purse and family a waiter came up and refunded the hairy eggs and my dish! The disgusting attitude she gave over food that was prepared with hair ....then to state mom/pop business as if this place with lines out the door both times I visited and in passing THIS PLACE MAKES ITS MONEY BUT SWEETHEART! I don't think any customer comes in looking to know chain or family we just need clean good food, with over the top customer service no matter the skin color YOU CATCH ME??? SO needless to say my dad is a chef so I will continue to have him make dishes I can't pull off but this place has amazing food that I can't take away just keep the hairs off the plate! No worries though I won't be back....for one I don't deal with silly people at ALL
Part 2 to your response:
WHO APOLOGIZED ???? WE WHO??? I dare you lie with 2 other adults and a child old enough to know what happened BECAUSE ONE THING FOR SURE ...THE WOMAN HAD NO CUSTOMER SERVICE RELATION SKILLS TWO IT WAS HAIR IN THE FOOD so my question to you is IF YOU WERE SERVED NOT 1 BUT 2 HAIRS WOULD YOU WANT TO EAT YOUR PLATE???? WITH DARK SAUCES BECAUSE THE HAIR WAS ON bright colored YELLOW EGGS MAM OR SIR WHO EVER YOU ARE..I NEVER DISCREDIT THE FOOD EVEN UP TIL NOW! IT Was the ATTITUDE THAT TURN ME OFF JUST LIKE THE LAME RESPONSE ....SHE WAS A NASTY ATTITUDE CHIC 😡 WHO SHRUGGED HER SHOULDERS TO SHOW SHE HAD NO INTENT ON A REFUND UNTIL WE GOT UP TO LEAVE!!! THE ONLY APOLOGY RECEIVED WAS FROM THE WAITER WHO SAW THE HAIR IN THE PLATE OF FOOD FIRST, AND that was the ONLY APOLOGY WHICH HE GETS PAID TO DO SO!!!!!! THOUGH HIS APOLOGY WAS FELT GENUINE DUE TI NO ATTITUDE GIVEN PERHAPS! Had we been of any other race the MS. Nasty Attitude wouldn't have reacted the way she did! Oh really I would love to use more colorful words at this point but she definitely wouldn't have reacted the way she did IF WE WERE ANY OTHER RACE! she reacted just the way she wanted because she COULD! THE HEPHA DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME I WAS BEING REFUNDED AFTER WE GOT UP TO LEAVE THE SAME WAITER WHO APOLOGIZED GAVE ME THE MESSAGE OF THE REFUND which didn't seem accurate after I had already signed the receipt STOP PLAYING WITH ME! YOUR RESPONSE ALONE IS JUST A GUILT TRIP NOW GONE GET !!! May Yal continue to serve good food but less NASTY ATTITUDE AND...

The parking is right in front of the restaurant, and there is plenty in the shopping center around if you don't manage to land a spot right out front. As soon as I pulled up, I noticed a nice patio area as an option for outdoor seating.
When I walked in, I was quickly and pleasantly greeted by my server and seated near a window. The restaurant has a vibe that feels like a cross between a classic American diner and a sports bar and grill. The atmosphere felt very relaxed and chill back with rasta type beats playing softly overhead. The kitchen is open across a bar, and the staff is very friendly and attractive.
Since it was my first visit to the restaurant, my server recommended a Benedict as that is what they are known for. He also informed me that this restaurant is a site of filming for an episode of the show Man vs. Food. Which I discovered was very fitting as the portions are extremely generous! I decided to order the Monsoon Benedict, which is served with a pesto hollandaise sauce topped with arugula and a balsamic reduction. As a fisrt time customer, I was also served a complimentary Snickerdoodle Pancacke! For a beverage option, I did order the macchiato espresso, but that is the only mention it will receive in this review.
The Benedict was served with a healthy portion of hashbrowns that are everything you'd want in a classic diner hashbrown. Hot golden and crispy exterior while fluffy on the inside, and not at all greasy.
The Benedict itself was the star of the show! By far, the most delicious thing on the plate was the pesto hollandaise sauce! With the grilled tomato, smokey bacon, and avacado combined with the creamy yolk of the perfectly soft poached egg and peppery arugula, it tasted like a blast of California mixed with my favorite classic Italian tomato and basil combo. The balsamic reduction atop the arugula really helped break up the richness of the totem below. Although serving Benedicts on an English muffin is classic, I could have gone without the bread base and ate it with just the hashbrown. At the mention of this, my server advised that they do serve any of the Benedicts over a tamale base, which I would be eager to try next time!
The Snickerdoodle pancake was also a very generous size as it covered nearly the entire plate! It was topped with a cinnamon sugar dusting and a vanilla cream cheese glaze. If you are sensitive to sweets, you've been warned! This is enough sugar to transport you back to when you were 10 years old on Halloween night! The pancake itself was absolutely delightful. The interior of the confection was cloud-like and perfectly pillowy. Classic A+ American diner buttermilk pancake, through and through!
Overall, I would say that this place is definitely worth a visit, not only once, but multiple times over, to try the different offering on the menu! Thank...
Read moreBaja Cafe is really really good. Sometimes there is a long wait up to about 40 minutes but if you're there for brunch or lunch there's going to be shade. I don't believe they take reservations. But you could check in and walk around a little shops they have there like GNC etc. They do have patio dining but it's right next to the parking lot so if you want to smell gasoline and car exhaust be my guest. The atmosphere of the dining room is kind of boring. It really doesn't have a theme and they don't have any booths it's just about a bunch of tables and chairs in a big open floor plan room. So it can get a little noisy it could get a little tight around the tables. Most tables only fit about four so if you're going with a big group be prepared to wait a little bit so that they can make a table big enough for your party. They have the tiniest counter to eat at I think like only 3 or 4 chairs so if you're dining alone you might be able to get in faster if you want to sit at the counter. They do have different flavor mimosas I like to try each one. But the food is amazing I recommend getting the Wyatt Earp eggs benedict because it has a tamale and green chilies and onions and it's just a whole bunch of deliciousness I do like to come here because the food is great and it's huge portions for the price. I think you'll really like it especially if you haven't been here before and are looking for a different brunch place to go to with friends and family. They don't have soda fountain drinks so you have to buy your soda by the can and obviously it's not free refills so if you're a big soda drinker be prepared to to not have free refills so just order water along with one can of soda to go with...
