This review really isn't much for the plaza but for the thrift store.
This thify store charges crazy high prices.
On top of that they claim it's for charity they have a call center in the back and have employees call and big people all day asking for donations saying it's to help cerebral palsy. People donate items thinking the money will go to charity but what REALLY happens is they giver ONE CENT per dollar. And pocket the rest. While also charging basically prices for things as if they was new. They had a microwave in there just a plain old microwave for $99.99 how crazy is that. This guy went to buy it thinking it was $9.99 and the cashier and him got into an argument because it was $99.99 so the guy didn't buy it. (Nor would I)
I use to work for them until I found out how much they actually donate to there "charitable cause" after that I didn't feel right calling people and bugging them and guilt tripping them into donating items so this company could pocket the money. And those poor people thought they was actually helping and donating to a charitable cause. .... It's sad...
Read moreI love the Mexican store in here. The produce is cheaper than Walmart and the selection is better. They have a meat department with all kinds of pre seasoned items to chose from. I bought some made fresh daily corn tortillas that were cheaper than other places and HUGE amount. I had to freeze some and they’re good. They also have a restaurant as well that you can buy their salsa etc from. I also love the thrift store in here. I always find something I can’t live without, like the arced floor lamp and shade in the picture below. These lamps cost around $150-200 new and I got it for $50. I wish they’d re-stripe the parking lot though and resurface it, its hard to tell which way you should be going. Adding some barrier curbs would help control traffic as well. There are so many businesses in there and it’s just one giant lot so people tend to...
Read moreThe anchor is Morrelos Mercado, which is great. There's an Auto Zone and a Walgreens. The thrift store has ridiculously high prices. They occasionally have some new items with tags, but those prices tend to be on the high side of new retail. Seriously, the people who do their pricing must be drunk. I stop in for a laugh before getting groceries and Morelos, which has a real meat counter. If you want one chicken thigh or a single pork chop for dinner, they've got that. Friendly, helpful staff. Stop in for some hot grub from...
