Ran down - but clean - nice waitress - rude hostess - puked - flavor hit and miss - really empty for supper time
Food - some delicious plates, some gag worthy, threw up on the drive home. I think the general tso was bad, tasted how you'd imagine a fart, choked first piece down then skipped the rest. Husband didn't eat it and he's holding well. The selection is small with only 4 tables of food - 2 of them being prefab dessert snacks. I do love canned chocolate pudding, some poor kid deep inside me, but it isn't for everyone. Hardly super, more like micro cafeteria. I would have enjoyed more veggie choices. 3/5... even with the puking, it was not bad I just won't repeat it.
Atmosphere - nice decorations, comfortable seats, ran down with water stains on the ceiling, bathroom hinges about to fall off, but everything even the bathroom was spotless. That was a smile worthy note. Very old place, but no filth.
Staff - our waitress was nice and I never had my tea get low. Tipped her $20, because she was awesome. She even took my husband's plate and carried it to the table for him (massive Asian respect action, very kind although hardly hygenic... props though. It made me happy for him). She didn't leave trash or plates on our table between troops, but she also NEVER ONCE invaded or interrupted us!!! Amazing. The host/ possible owner hates life. She was pretty awful and loud, very pretty face, just angry seething.
Price value - $35/2 people. We had iced tea to drink. We left full.
Parking - plentiful
Seating - nice and accommodating of disabilities.
Background music was instrumental, peaceful, and easy...
Read moreThe owner of the business is not a very professional and courteous person. My experience there was not a very good one. I was rushed to hurry up and eat my food and was treated very poorly. She treated me as if I was some deadbeat off the streets. She accused me of sleeping when in fact my blood pressure dropped very rapidly causing me to become faint. Instead of her checking to see if I was ok or if I may have needed medical attention, she immediately started yelling at me to hurry up and eat and then get out. Mind you, that I had only been there for about 20 minutes. She had seen me just come from the buffet table getting food and eating at my table 2 minutes prior to her coming over to my table and telling me that, "this is not a hotel and homeless people aren't welcome here anymore and that I better hurry up, eat and leave before she called the cops on me. I'm glad you that I was able to regain consciousness right before she immediately started yelling at me in front of all the customers. I even offered to pay for my meal and when I offered to pay, she immediately started yelling for me to get out and I didn't even get to finish my food.. As she was screaming at me to get out, I looked up her and said, "may God have mercy on you and your soul.
I really felt like I was in Compton, California back in the 90's when a Black male would enter a convience store owned by a Korean guy who would harrass the customers by making them go through, "hurry up and buy, and get out," situations.
The owner isn't very kind to the same people who keep her business running. I wouldn't recommend this place to my...
Read moreWell lets start off with service was exceptable for just walk in and sit down type of restaurant like most buffet eatery and grab a plate of and start placing item's of your liking now so far we have a 4star ⭐ for service and now a 3star⭐ for the food items such as dinner buffet have chicken, pork and shrimp all fixed in fried, bake, boiled settings I was not impressed with certain items were left out to long getting dried out appearance tough texture some dishes like sweet sour chicken and pork were off taste wise. This china wok isn't same eatery like 10 to 15 yrs ago where items were placed in very well organized fashion very eye appealing now less attracted go through motion of buffet. I was at first very upbeat to try China wok again but that feeling faded quickly after eating one plate of shrimp butterfly, sweet sour pork and chicken a average size portions with ice water and shrimp tasted good other items were left on plate now costing $14.00USD double price since last time that to figured 3⭐ and now last atmosphere unbearable sweating started 5minutes into sitting down appearly A/C wasn't handling the 103* temperature very well so that got a 2 ⭐ overall bearly a 3 ⭐ there needs a new direction for this eatery less attended effort same ole pattern with older established restaurant it if work's why bother changing it up so for me this probably be last dinning experience at China Wok on South...
