Placed an order, received confirmation of payment, 10 days went by without a shipping notification so I emailed. No response. 4 days later I called to get an update. He said my payment didn’t go though. I told him it was on my statement and I have a confirmation email. Then he said they cancelled it because they sold them (after I had ordered). I asked why I wasn’t notified and why my email wasn’t responded to. The manager hoped on the phone very frantically and unprofessional jumping down my throat asking where I sent an email to implementing I was lying. I gave him the email which was conveniently his boss who has a “broken” email. The third excuse… Never offered a sincere apology or resolution other than repeatedly saying “ I’ll make sure the moneys back on your card” when I expressed my annoyance of the lack of communication after 14 days of no communication other than my confirmation. Definitely need some managerial training. I understand needing to cancel an order, things happen. Ordered a gransfors bruks Scandinavian Forest Axe on the 29th from this company because it was 20 dollars cheaper than amazon. Huge mistake. Only reason i ordered it was to use it on the one week a year i ever get time away from work to do anything i enjoy which is now the upcoming week. I Still have no tracking number 10 days later. I shouldve just paid the extra money. If you are going to move stores and close down atleast inform someone when they checkout online that its going to take weeks for them to get what they ordered. Recently was searching for a hard to find Sitka product which I located at the Gadget Company on-line. I completed the purchase, received a telephone call from the company to verify my address, which was greatly appreciated. My purchase was shipped almost immediately and received within two days, which included a hand written thank you note from the Gadget Team. I would highly recommend doing business with Gadget Company both on-line or making in store purchases.
