Zales — Attraction in Tuscaloosa

Staff is fantastic and helpful. Spent a lot of money in this store and I’m giving it 2 stars because of the manager. She significantly lacks soft skills when dealing with customers. Very controlling speaker with a nonchalant way of just speaking down to you. It’s almost as if I’m the problem when I came in to get my repair without an appointment (which I’ve never had before). There was one client being serviced by an employee and no one else in the store. She said if she could “get to me it would be about 15 mins.”

I walked out and said I’ll go book an appointment. I left and booked an appointment at 5pm and wanted her to take the appointment so I could tell her she significantly lacks soft skills. Too bad she already left work when I came back.

Won’t buy from here if I have to deal with her. Just a waste of time for a repair that honestly wasn’t a great repair. The princess Disney necklace wasn’t even straight....

Pretty sorry customer service here. Just left after getting my ring cleaned to maintain my warranty, and was met with questions about whether I scheduled an appointment or not. I wasn’t aware I needed to do so, since I’ve been using this Zales for years as a walk-in. The sales associate made it seem like I was an inconvenience to the very dead store and as though dipping my ring in a cleaning solution was an annoying task, especially since I hadn’t gone online to schedule an appointment. I told her I never do that because I can never get anyone on the phone, only for a dry “we’re not going to walk away from customers to answer the phone.” She also advised in a condescending manner that I schedule an appointment earlier in the month, because of the holidays, which I wasn’t able to do because of a move and health issues. 4 weeks away from our wedding and my fiancé doesn’t have a ring. Bought it two years ago and diamonds constantly fall out. Picked it up from repair and a diamond fell out before we left the store. Was refunded for repair after throwing a fit and was told they would get us a new ring because of the many repairs and now I’m being told I owe the money back before we get a new ring. Place is a joke and will be out of business in less than 5 years at this rate. Local stores have already closed and I see why. Had to drive two hours to this store and get lectured about not bringing it in for cleaning. Grand parents have 50 year old rings that have never been serviced and not missing any diamonds.
