On Friday 12/21/18 I called the jewelry department to see if they could pull a UPC code to see if a piece of jewelry was in stock. As I wanted to purchase this piece of jewelry for a Christmas present. I called around 8:40 am, the lady who picked up stated " I'm just really busy right now, you're going to have to call back later to check." I initially thought that was rude. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I called back a second time around 11:30 am to check and see and the same lady picked up. I believe she said her name was grace. This time when she picked up she said "this is grace, belk jewelry department how can I help you?" I again asked her if she could pull a UPC code to see if this piece of jewelry was in stock. She then replied with a huff "UGH I'm just really swamped right now you're just going to have to call back later" I then informed her that was completely fine, that I would take my business elsewhere. The whole situation was very rude. She has no customer service whatsoever. I work with people on a daily basis for my job and I would never in a million years treat a potential customer like this. Very poor way to handle business. By the way I did take my business elsewhere, I went to Kay jewelers and purchased the piece of jewelry I wanted. If you work there or thinking about working there you may have a serious problem with the HR( A woman named Rose). She discriminates against disabled workers ( especially if your on the ticket to work program) and likes to harass and make last minute and unnecessary changes to the schedule. She is also very good at lying and making herself look good. This store can never keep a HR or store manager over a year. This is unsat! Major changes need to happen within the company. They could start with honoring their words( especially if it is in a written contract) and get rid of leaders who don't have a good understanding of leadership. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThursday, March 28, 2024 - I arrived before 7:15pm. My first encounter was hearing one female staffer say to another, 'My care meter is so low.' SO, I didn't ask for help. I spent quite a bit of time walking around trying to find the clothes I needed. Eventually, I saw a staffer standing near a mannequin. Unfortunately, it was the 'low care meter' staffer. I said, "Excuse me." But the DJ (he was good!) had the music thumping. So, there I stood, next to her waiting for her to finish detailing the mannequin arm. Another staffer walked over and spoke to her. She heard her coworker! That coworker found Krystin to help me. Kudos to those two! Kristin helped me find multiple pieces and checked me out.
