Las Piñas (Ice cream & snacks) — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

The reviews that I have read are pretty positive but every time that I have been to this place, I have an issue. First, this place seems REALLY EXPENSIVE but maybe that's just me. I have been there 3 times in probably 6 months with the most recent being today 09.18.22. So the first time I went there the cashier changed the price of what I ordered 3 times & I only ordered 1 thing. I think that I paid $8 for a waffle cone with 2 scoops of ice cream. The 2nd time I went there my now EX-HUSBAND bought me a pint of their strawberry ice cream in a styrofoam container and it was the best Strawberry ice cream that I had in a long time. So on my way home from work several weeks later I stopped by and asked for a pint of Strawberry ice cream. The girl behind the counter informs me that they don't sell it like that any longer so I point to the white styrofoam containers on the shelf RIGHT BEHIND HER. A guy comes out of the back says something to her in Spanish. I didn't quite catch all of but it amounted to just give it to her & get her out of here.. So she hands me 2 medium plastic cups like you would normally get milkshakes in & charges me FIFTEEN DOLLARS. Today, I went in for a Shake. The girl behind the counter tells me that they're out of straws but there was a Hispanic family of 4 sitting at a table inside all drinking SOMETHING out of straws but I thought ok maybe they don't have any more after their order. I didn't ask if they had it, but the shake flavor I wanted was an empty container anyway. So I asked another girl what she was making? It was a mango sorbet something so I said, just give me one of those. She looks at the cashier and says, " I hate that order." I took my Mango whatever which was fair, not great but not bad either & sat outside to eat it. FIVE MINUTES LATER 2 Hispanic Dudes come out sipping on what appeared to be MILKSHAKES THROUGH STRAWS that they didn't have 5 minutes earlier. Is this place for the Hispanic Community ONLY & I am just too stupid to realize it??? Ya know what? Nevermind because I won't...

Woke up this morning needing street corn, I have recently moved here and this place was spot on! I often crave both sweet and savory and this place is literally perfect for both. I got the elote in a cup with a cucumber lime mango michelagua and both were absolutely mouth watering. The server that made my drink and food was extremely nice and the price was very reasonable, unlike a lot of the places I’ve been to recently here....

There food truck came to my school and their customer service was horrible I found something in my food but didn’t want to be mean and tell them in front of everyone so I told them I just dropped it on the ground so I asked for a refund since I paid in cash they told me it wasn’t there problem so I said ok so later I came back with my friend and we just ordered a soda and they lady just gave us the most unwanted...
