India Spices & Groceries — Attraction in Tustin

This place mixes their freshly delivered vegetables with OLD ROTTING PRODUCE - and they still charge the full premium price. They also do not get rid of EXPIRED GROCERY ITEMS. It is NOT SAFE - the FDA SHOULD CLOSE THIS STORE DOWN.

I have been going here for about 5 months, and finally I have had enough with being RIPPED OFF.

I went there last Thursday to purchase some hot cooked vegetables at 4:30 pm. Their HOT kitchen has hours of 11am to 5pm. My vegetables were COLD, when I asked to heat them, the lady agreed but gave me a bad attitude and told me that I should not expect hot food towards the end of the day, even though I was during the time when the HOT kitchen food was still open.

Then, I also purchased papdi chat, and she did not fill up the container, and left a whole Inch deep where it was NOT FILLED UP AT ALL. I told her I wanted her to fill up the container, and she refused, and said that space was for the papri. This has not been the case in the past, and I was upset. I should have just left and not paid for anything.

Then I bought some fresh produce vegetables using my EBT card, for which the good quality plastic bag is included, and she AGAIN REFUSED to give me the good quality plastic bag even though EBT rules state it is included with the purchase.

DEFINITELY NOT GOING THERE AGAIN - VERY POOR SERVICE AND HORRIBLE ATTITUDE. She really gave a negative ambiance and as a result I did not enjoy the...

One of my most favourite Indian grocery shop. They have a very small shop run by all family members mostly, good part is unlike Namaste plaza, this is very organized and they have a very good collection of all Indian products be it sweet or spices or oil or any other. They keep small amount but good quality of Indian vegetables and some Indian frozen delicacies too. However their price might seem a little higher occasionally but their deli section is really worthy of money. Specially the sweets are fresh and tasty. It’s always advisable to call and check if they have a certain thing at their shop and that way you can save a lot of time and gas. Also their deli section remains closed on certain days of the week.

The only bad thing is the parking which is hard to get on busy...

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience today was frustrating enough to share.

I purchased groceries here, including a small/mid-sized lime. At checkout, the gentleman at the counter charged me $0.60(0.59) for a single lime. When I politely questioned the price—mentioning that it should normally be sold by weight or at least much cheaper (around $0.25)—he firmly told me that limes are charged per piece at that rate.

Later, I went to another nearby grocery store where I purchased a larger lime, sold by weight, and it cost only $0.15.

The comparison made me feel that this store is significantly overcharging on basic items, which feels unfair to customers. For that reason, I cannot recommend...
