Booking Graham Memorial Chapel at Washington University in St. Louis was a little difficult as there are strict booking guidelines. You have to be flexible in your date and plan far in advance. My husband and I had decided we wanted to get married in the fall (preferably October), and we toured the chapel in November of 2017 following our engagement. We decided fall of 2019 worked best for our personal situation. We were not able to submit our application until August 1, 2018 (14 months preceding our desired wedding month). If the bride or groom are an alum of the university, you are able to submit an application 14 months preceding your desired date. If you are not an alum, you can only apply 12 months out (and may be at a disadvantage in choosing a date). We received confirmation of our preferred reservation date on October 5, 2018. This was definitely a bit stressful, but Graham Chapel was well worth the wait! The chapel is incredibly beautiful, and the staff communicate everything that you need to know. Once we had our date locked in, everything seemed to fall together. I would do the process over and over again. I highly...
Read moreYou will realize how skilled the architects who created these buildings were when you enter this one, a true gem of a space. Compared to other Collegiate Gothic chapels at universities such as Princeton, Duke and the University of Chicago, this is an intimate space, but it is exquisite in detail. The organ is magnificent, although the acoustics are really not all that good. By all means, visit the University during a period when you can enter Graham Chapel. Attend a lecture or a music concert, or take a campus tour. It's worth your time. I used to attend Assembly Series lectures in here, and those lectures stick with me...
Read moreGraham Chapel is such an iconic church/wedding venue on Washington University's campus in the heart of St. Louis. We have attended a wedding here and have also photographed here as well. The amazing structure and intricate detail can not be overlooked, it is very stunning and photogenic. They have a wedding coordinator who is in charge of booking weddings and being there day of, she was very helpful and kind. Any wedding size, whether big or small, will look gorgeous in here.
