I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding a recent experience at Wegmans store, which has left a lasting negative impression on me and my family.

On 1st of January 2024, my wife (28 years old), our 1.5-year-old baby, and I (35 years old) visited your store with the intention of purchasing some items to celebrate our baby's recovery from illness. Our shopping list included food, toys for the baby, and a bottle of champagne to mark the occasion.

Upon reaching the cashier, we were asked to provide identification for the purchase of the champagne, in accordance with Wegmans policy. I complied, presenting my ID, but when the cashier noticed my wife, he also requested her ID. Unfortunately, my wife had left her ID in the car. This is not an uncommon scenario for us, as we communicate in another language, and sometimes details like this escape our attention. I complied, leaving the bottle behind and proceeding to purchase the remaining items. Baby became capricious and wife went into the car with him. I've tried to buy champagne once again without them. At this point, Manager Nate intervened and decided to restrict the sale of the champagne. However, the confusion and frustration led me to seek clarification from Manager Nate about Wegmans' ID policy, especially considering a similar situation had occurred without incident on a prior visit.

Manager Nate (also he looks pretty young, not sure if he is 19) quickly invited another manager, Chase, to join the conversation. To my surprise, they not only refused to sell me alcohol but also informed me that I was banned from the store. I tried to understand the rationale behind this decision and requested clarification on the duration of the ban, but my inquiries were met with laughter and a lack of professionalism.

In an attempt to rectify the situation, I left the store to retrieve my wife's ID from the car. Baby was crying and I drove them back home and returned in 20 minutes with both IDs, ready to purchase the champagne as per your policy. However, I was once again denied the sale, with no clear explanation provided. This process was not only unprofessional but also felt arbitrary and discriminatory.

I asked for clarification on the specific rule or guideline that warranted such actions, but all that was presented to me was the general policy about age verification. Furthermore, when I requested to make a photo of Manager Chase's badge, he refused, hided it and walked away, further adding to the lack of transparency and professionalism displayed.

This entire experience left our family deeply disappointed and disheartened. Our baby had been unwell over the Christmas period, leading to canceled celebrations and plans with friends. The day we visited your store was meant to be a small but significant celebration of his recovery. Instead, it turned into a distressing encounter with Wegmans' store policies and management.

I sincerely hope that you take the time to investigate and address this matter promptly. As a loyal Wegmans customer, I believe in the importance of constructive feedback and hope that steps will be taken to prevent such incidents from happening to other customers...

We have been shopping at this Wegmans from the day they opened. My wife and I would shop several times a week not only for large orders but invariably something we either forgot or needed that day for a meal. Initially the store was great. Well stocked shelves but more importantly the staff was amazingly helpful and pleasant. But now it seems as though there was a store bulletin to do the entire opposite. I realize this is a busy market and there are still some supply chain issues (that once true excuse seems to come in handy these days). Countless times we have tried to find an item, actually items and the shelves are bare. It is incredibly frustrating to shop and actually walk out with an entirely new list of things you could not get and will have to another time. I don't necessarily hold them accountable for price increases, that is happening everywhere. But having shopped there from day one and being very familiar with standard items, it is astounding how much prices have gone up. And portions shrunk. But the worst part of this store is the very noticeable change in the attitude of the employees. Indifference is pretty much the standard and if management doesn't care about the store, why should they? And if you have to deal with "customer service", expect outright belligerence. I have never encountered such blatant rudeness from the start (more than one time) and intentional combativeness. I don't know what these people are experiencing from other shoppers but even my wife, who has amazing tolerance and goes out of her way to find good, was appalled by the attitude of the customer service employees.

We have chosen now to do most of our shopping at the Malvern store as this store is much cleaner, better run and the employees actually seem to still care about their jobs. Unfortunately we still have to go into the King of Prussia store sporadically as it is a bit more convenient. But it sums it up, that we are willing to drive miles out our way rather than deal with this place.

This store is sadly emblematic of how far the standards of society have fallen. Rudeness, no concern for others and just a general sh---y attitude about your job. And you get to bag your...

I shop Wegmans quite often, due to their selection and prices. On 6/2/17 we went to grab a pizza from this location. When we were asked for our order, we told them we would like a large 20" pizza, which is normally $9.99. The exact wording to ANTHONY was "we would like the 20" $9.99 pie, but can you add BBQ chicken?" He made no mention of the extra price, even though I was aware each topic costs $2 extra. I was ready to pay around $12-13.

We went to go pick up some beer came back, and our pizza was ready. The gentleman behind the counter told us the pizza was $20.13. Confused, we asked why so much. He stated it was a premium pie and was extra. What annoys me is the person who took our order in the first place (he was clearly new to the department and it showed) did not state this. We assumed it was $2 extra per topping. He went on to tell us that once we added BBQ sauce it became a "premium pizza". So basically what you are saying is we were charged $8 FOR BBQ SAUCE? Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

The gentleman behind the counter clearly saw we were not happy with the situation and still quotes us the $20!! A true customer service representative would have rectified the situation but you can clearly tell he did not want to be bothered by us due to it being a busy night at wegmans, nor did he show the intelligence to provide the customer service to us.

Very disappointed in how this was handled. It is not the normal location we go to, and it will be our last time coming here.

Does wegmans read these reviews? Because today they earned...

Very courteous and kid-friendly staff in the Pub Restaurant. Professional and dilligent pharmacists. Great selections of prepared food (love the sushi in particular). Consistently excellent produce. Wide selection of craft beer. I brought my LO for lunch and it was a bit hectic in the eatery area. However, there was ample seating to accommodate both large chatty crowds, and those who wanted to or quietly on their laptops. The children's area in the eatery was a big plus: four kiddie-sized tables and chairs, with a large flat screen TV airing Disney programming. Another kid-friendly bonus I discovered was the Family Restroom ( in my experience, usually you only find those in stores catering to children, like Toys R Us or Buy Buy Baby). Last week, I was extremely impressed by their checkout system: cashiers wait to greet you at the entrance to their respective checkout lines, so you know their lines are open. Wegmans really seems to go out of its way to cater to, and please, every variety of clientele.

I went to the Wegmans KOP store. At the entrance, I picked up a mustard pretzel sample from the left side of the tray, while a couple was standing nearby. The employee then rudely told me that the piece I took was “for the couple” and that I should take one from the right side instead — even though the right side was actually closer to the couple, and common sense would be to take the one closest to me. The couple themselves hadn’t taken anything yet; they seemed to be waiting for something, so I had no way of knowing the piece was meant for them. The way the employee spoke felt disrespectful, as if I was only there for free food. It left me very uncomfortable, and as a regular Wegmans shopper, I ended up buying nothing and don’t plan to return anytime soon.
