Has definitely gone downhill. When Honeygrow first opened, the stir fry was great. I was never got excited about stir fry until going here. Within the past year I have noticed pieces of food I didn't order making their way into my stir fry, especially mushrooms. I noticed beans and chicken in huge peices no one could eat in one bite. And my biggest pet peeve is the rice clumping together more often than not. I stopped by twice in the last two weeks and suddenly they started putting sauce on my food. (Every time I have come here I have ordered the same thing, without sauce). Last time I was here I had them remake the food. Well, I took the food outside to their patio and starting eating. The rice was cold. Luckily, one of the store managers was on a phone call at the table behind me and must've noticed my disappointment as I pushed away my second ordered bowl of stir fry. I took it back inside and started putting it in a box to take home and eat later. That's when, much to my surprise, the manager from outside approached me. He asked if everything was ok and I explained how my experience has declined with each visit. He apologized and asked if he could reimburse me for the stir fry and I accepted. Well, today was the last straw. I go in again to get the same gosh darn order and what do you know - they put sauce on it AGAIN. My order slip does NOT say sauce. How hard is it to mix a list of ingredients right in front of you? The manager on duty really irritated me (different manager). I told him I didn't order sauce, yet there's sauce on my food. He was inspecting it, like he was trying to find a needle in a haystack! He said "Let me ask the cooks if they put sauce on here." Completely appalled, I stopped him and said "I come here all the time and order the same thing. I KNOW when there's sauce on my food. It's right there, that brown liquid on the egg." And he just said "Ok, I'll give you a refund." I don't really know what else he could say, but he could have expressed more concern with such an easy mistake to fix. It's disappointing because I have made half hour drives on occasion for this restaurant through the past few years. And now it's become quite a regular disaster in my book. It's a busy place, people love it, but it's certainly lacking in efficiency and...
Read moreOur first experience at Honeygrow because we stayed at a hotel nearby. My partner had red coconut curry noodle, brownie and lemon mango drink. I had a ginger sesame salad bowl with a bottle of water. The food was delicious and I hope they would expand to the Washington DC area where we are from. It's a bit pricey for a place that a customer must do everything him/herself (order, pay, pick up) before getting the food. I ordered the salad bowl because I was trying to avoid carbs, but my salad bowl still has some noodles. I hope they would have more choices without rice or noodles.
One minor complaint is about the self order system. It's not clear to us that a party of two can put everything on one order. After my partner put in all his choices, the menu directed him to put them in the cart, at which point I had not put my choices in. We messed up the order and wound up canceling to start over again. It looks as if the system can only handle one order per person. If that's not the case, the menu navigation should be improved to make...
Read moreIf I could provide zero stars I most certainly would do so. I placed an order for my son and I for approximately $70. Once our order was complete someone came over to advise the protein we selected was not available. They never apologized for the inconvenience and when I asked how they would compensate for the missing items which was more than any other protein on their menu the manager she just looked at me with confusion as if I was inconveniencing her. While I understand inventory can change, it is not the fault of the customer and the purpose of having a manager on staff is to ensure they manage process and take care of the business needs which includes customer satisfaction. Given their inability to have compassion for inconveniencing the customer no matter what the reason, I chose to be fully refunded. Honeygrow is a national brand and their food is delicious however I will never come back to this location given the terrible management...
