Jurassic Quest hosted by The Oaks Expo center was AMAZING. We went on the last Sunday of the exhibit/show. We randomly chose to go "after nap" with our 2.5yo. When we arrived the entire place was packed. We parked at the wrong entrance, which was a hike to the main door. Finally, we walk up to the door and it says "sold out"😭We spoke with staff and they said they're opening the doors again at 4ishpm. Luckily, it was only 2:45pm. We went to lunch, came back and got in. I gave Jurassic Quest 5 stars because it was awesome. It was crowded, like crazy crowded! Lots and lots of people had to leave since they sold out by 10am. Or, if they stayed they spent hours in lines. We got lucky that it started to clear out after the first hour or so. My son got to enjoy each thing as much as he wanted. He did have to get off a ride/bounce house then run back in line to get on again. It was amazing. We got lucky I guess? I give crowd control a 2 Star but what they had to offer was 5 stars. Recommendations: Buy tix online prior, call to assure they didn't sell out, expect to be there for at least 3hrs,. For Jurassic quest: Maybe sell blocks of time or a limited amount of tickets to avoid children waiting hours in line for each activity. The Expo center is always clean, wheelchair friendly but huge so bring comfy shoes. It's a cement floor, which is tough on the feet. Oaks's staff are the best happiest employees I've ever met. I go there for many other events too. Great place and Crystal, Joyce and Mike that work for Oaks are truly...
Read moreI went to monster mania yesterday and had the worst experience. This was my first ever convention so I wasn’t too sure what to expect so I got there super early. When I got inside I immediately headed to the line for an autograph from David Howard Thornton and waiting exactly 3 hours. He left to get his costume and makeup on for photo ops and the staff were super nice about it, they gave me a sticky note and told me and my friend exactly what time he would be back to do more autographs. My friend and I walked around a bit, but then once we had looked around at all the vendors we still had another 3 hours until he would get back. So we did wait because I only went so I could meet David. We waited in line waiting for a good 40 minutes until a staff member told us it would take too long for his makeup to come off and we should just “come back tomorrow”. Look I get things happen, we did go on a Saturday and those are usually busy anywhere you go, but the staff had gotten everyone’s hopes up by promising us our spots in line and autographs. I know for most people like me we only bought a ticket for one day and can’t afford another one. Tickets were non-refundable so making a review was my second...
Read moreMy rating relates to the Super billiards Expo held in mid-April which I have attended for more than several years. If you like pool, this is THE place to find anything related to it--vendors galore. $50-100K cues if you wish! Cue cases you might see in catalogs only if you're lucky. It goes for days with modest ticket prices to watch the pros play in the afternoon or evening sessions. Lots of free parking surrounding the expo building with plenty of eateries next to the property and limited/somewhat pricey food/snacks inside. BJs is next door with a gas station. The expo is only several miles north of the King of Prussia turnpike exit. I must slam the landlord for keeping this building TOO COLD in the evening pool sessions---for years!! Even a light coat was not enough for most folks after sitting for a bit. Otherwise it is a nice, huge venue which seems far larger than the previous Valley Forge Expo location down the road. If you like pool, this expo, which is usually put on each spring by Allen Hopkins, is a must see. Amateur and pro players to watch plus huge rooms full of vendors!! For a fee you can also join the competition in different age...
