Last evening my wife and I went to the Phoenixville Target to purchase about $70 worth of items. After using the self-scan checkout, we attempted to redeem our manufacturers coupons. The system kept rejecting the coupons displaying, "does not comply with Target coupon policy". When we asked an associate for help, she received the same message. My wife said, "maybe it is because the coupons expire today". Associate, "I have no idea". The system did take a couple of coupons that expire in 2 weeks, and this is not the first-time coupons have been rejected on date of expiration. So, we walked away from the order and went to guest relations, to ask that associate about the coupon policy, when the same one from the register came over and wanted to wait on us. I said, "I want to know the change in the coupon policy", check-out associate, "you will have to look it up". My wife has worked over 40 years in retail and makes it her job to know those policies so that she can deliver the best shopping experience. She will also try to accommodate the shopper if their coupon is expired.
When I called this morning looking for a manager, one came to phone after about 3 minutes and I began to explain my concern and could her him talking to someone else as I was talking and then he said, "can you explain that again, your phone was muffled". Corporate Guest Relations heard me with no problem.
We were always good for $100-$200 every 2 weeks at this particular Target and have decided even if it's a few cents more, we are avoiding target. These big companies need to train their people better in customer relations, as today the dollar has to be stretched as far as possible.
We are done...
Read moreIt was a Wednesday evening. I only stopped into this Target to see if they happened to be selling the classic movie Back to The Future. My son recently saw the phenomenal film; See You, Yesterday and has been inspired to rewatch Back to the Future. Unfortunately Target didnât have it but thatâs not my issue with this store, Iâm definitely not that petty.
I decided to get two random things I did need so I didnât have to make an extra stop on the way home. I grabbed some Windex and dental floss. As I got to the registers I noticed the only two lanes that had an employee at them also had a long enough line that made me go to the self-check out. Also not my issue since I wouldnât take the time to leave a review just for that.
My issue begins and ends within the 5 minutes it took to to ring myself up. When Robin, who I guess didnât have a register to be working at the time, decided to come stand 4 feet from where I was ringing myself up. Staring at me as I did so. The camera screen wasnât working at the self checkout so I could see her clear reflection right behind me. She didnât do this for any body else though.
I donât know if I just seemed different towards her, out of the ordinary maybe from her perspective sheâs lived her life in. I donât know if itâs because Iâm a 6â2â tall black male with dreadlocks and paint on his paints or if I was just ârandomly selectedâ to be monitored as I paid for my items but I felt so disrespected and reminded.
Luckily my son was unaware of the situation, I would hate for him to feel...
Read moreMerchandise strewn all over the place and not placed where it is supposed to be. Came in looking to buy a portable Anker device charger and was looking to pay between $40 and $60. I chose my first respective device thinking it was $49.99 which is where it, along with all of the other sane devices were hanging. Get to the register and am told it is $119 dollars, which was over my budget. I asked if I could go buy a different one so I went back and grabbed one from that was hanging on a shelf saying it was $59.99. It was one of several of the same devices. I get to the register again and am told this one us $130. Mind you there are no prices on the box. At this point it us closing time so they won't let me go back and grab another despite this clearly being their fault. Oh well, I am sure Target has customers to spare. Horrendous customer service even by Target's standards. No Target will get my business again. You have to place the merchasise in the right spot so customers know what they are buying and if you don't, and a situation like this takes place, where it is clearly the stores fault, you correct it by allowing the customer to buy the product that they came in for. If the merchandise was properly stocked from the get go then we would not have been in a situation where it is now closing time. Then to make the customer feel like they are at fault? ...
