November 20, 2018: The front desk staff (Dylan and Joanne) are unprofessional and not customer-friendly. They neglected to tell my 12 year old daughter and 7 of her friends when they checked in today (November 20th), that there was only 30 minutes left of Public Skating time. They still took their money ($75!), though! (By the way, the girls all paid, individually, in cash and were not given a receipt. Shady business practice!!!) After the girls retrieved their rented skates and paid for a locker, they only skated for 20 minutes and were told to get off the ice. When the girls brought the matter to the manager's attention (Manager - Dylan O'Brien), he said that Public Skating times are posted on the website and the girls should have known there was only 30 minutes left to skate, when they checked in. The girls notified their parents of the situation. After I approached the Manager regarding the situation, he was reluctant to admit any wrongdoing, show any remorse, or willingness to reach a solution (i.e., free pass for another day, discount for today's session, etc.). He said it was not his problem. So I placed a call into the General Manager Bryan Reagan. Still no phone call back! This establishment took advantage of eight, twelve year-old girls. Shame on them! What kind of example are they setting for our children? .....Trampoline parks always inform their customers, when they check in, of eligible bounce time....why doesn't Center Ice inform their customers at the time of check in, of eligible skate time? Unacceptable! I'm calling Action News!
UPDATE November 27, 2018: After leaving a voicemail and sending an email to the General Manager and President, I did receive a call back from the General Manager, Bryan Reagan. He apologized for the incident and admitted that his Manager, Dylan O'Brien, was relatively new to the operation and should never have allowed this to happen. Brian took responsibility for Dylan's actions and did not condone his behavior. To compensate the girls for this unfortunate experience, he sent me 2 free skating tickets for each girl. I appreciate Brian making this...
Read moreVery immature and unprofessional staff and workers. Especially the managers that work at the front desk. My underaged child and her friends went their this afternoon to have a fun time. When they arrived at 1pm, they rented their skates and lockers, not knowing about this 12-2pm “public skating”, and got onto the ice by 1:25. Just shy of 20 minutes of them being their, they where kicked off of the ice because “public skating” was over. Our children where taken advantage of and when they brought the case to the managers they where very rude and didn’t handle it well. They took $75 dollars from innocent teens and never apologized for the inconvenience. What I am really frustrated at most is that the general manager that was taking money from my kids did not even bother telling them that they had less than an hour to skate. Such despicable people. (The cafe was closed at the time so their is nothing to say about that) I am most certainly...
Read moreI borrowed hockey skates from here because I forgot mine at my house and let me say hands down the worst skates I have ever skated in. The edges were super dull and were like they haven't been sharpened in years. I tried to skate in them but everytime I did cross overs or try to skate normally I would fall. I thought it was just my pair that was dull so I went and got another and the same thing happened. I understand the people come there to have fun and aren't really about skating but SHARPEN YOUR DAMN SKATES. My suggestion is bring your own. If not you might as well save yourself the pain of falling down every second from un...
