Update: (February 2025, I'll leave the old review below for people to have some contrast) Okay, here is an update because I think it is worth mentoning a few things as I was very positively surprised.
I ordered again through their website on Monday before Valentine's Day. I honestly did not expect it to work but it did. Same address, same method. That can only mean they took this seriously (maybe other people had a similar experience with the website, idk) and resolved that issue. I honestly think that alone is amazing because I'm not used to companies caring too much about random reviews from random internet strangers (ofc I don't assume that one review made the difference. But I'd like to think they all do, as a whole..). Here we have one that does apparently and that is definitely worth some praise.
It worked great and I had no problems whatsoever. I even emailed them, asking for the flowers to be delivered im the afternoon because no one would be home. They texted me back a day later (during this very busy time for them) and said they usually call the recipient and would somehow make sure for it to be delivered. And they did.
The recipient was very happy about the flowers and I have to say they looked great. The only thing is that ot was a little pricey for me, because I'm not from the US and therefore not used to US prices. But I understand ofc.
Overall, I had a very good experience and am happy that I was given the opportunity to change my review/pov :)
Old Post: (October 2024) Sadly the website did not work for me. I tried several times on my phone and on my laptop in a browser. After putting in all the details and linking Paypal as my payment method it the website won't proceed to place order, several error messages pop up.
Always saying: Error: Phone Number not in expected format. Error city not in expected format. Error: Address1 not in expected format.
The thing is the phone number is being checked while entering and only allows the format (xxx)xxx-xxxx.
There are just so many options to write a street address and I think and if neither works, then the issue might lie somewhere else.
And I am not sure how to write Urbana properly I guess as it was not in the correct format. Neither URBANA, urbana, Urbana etc. did work and always the same error occurred.
It is quite frustrating as I tried several times throughout the week and wanted to place an order the anniversary of my girlfriend and I. I am sure that this is an amazing florist as everything look good and the reviews are good as well. However if the website is not working for me, that does not help at all. An I can't imagine being the only customer with those issues. I do not write reviews often (or at all) but I feel like people need to know that there might potential issues with ordering online.

Read moreWe had initially discussed our wedding vision and needs with Brittany who had an accurate grasp on our expectations. Some time after this initial meeting, we were notified of a staffing change. This seemed fine until closer to our wedding. When trying to schedule a final phone call, we were told they could not accommodate a weekend or evening call as their store hours are M-F 8am-5pm. This isn’t great for people who work these hours. During our final call we arranged a preview time for the night before the wedding. When the time came, I called to let them know we were on the way (they should have already known), and was confronted with a “well okay, but we close soon.” Upon arriving to the preview, I didn’t even recognize the flowers as they deviated so beyond what we’d discussed. The colors were not correct even though I explicitly denied one of the colors, and I couldn’t even see the anemones I had emphasized. The store associate tried to contact the designer to have it fixed, but we had to leave. The morning of the wedding I received a call saying it was going to get fixed. When I received my bouquet it did look beautiful, but much different than the night before. Also, we required some floral installations as per discussed with Brittany originally; however, during the staffing transition this detail did not successfully make it into our new proposal. As someone not well-versed in the floral industry I did not notice this and neither did Blossom Basket. On the day of the wedding, the venue owner did advise Blossom Basket to notify my mom of their drop off before leaving; however, this did not happen, and the florals were left in boxes in the foyer. Having anticipated the floral installations be done by the florist, no one in the bridal party knew what to do. Thankfully, the venue owner stepped in and installed the cages herself. Had she not been there, I’m not sure what I would have done. This was an unfortunate oversight that I hope Blossom Basket can avoid in the future. Also, if glass rental returns are expected within a week of the event, there should be a Sunday drop off option. Most people are gone on their honeymoon during this time or live out of town. Read moreLast year I ordered a special bouquet for our anniversary, explicitly requesting the inclusion of flowers that we had at our wedding (alstroemeria) . It was quite disappointing that when I picked up the bouquet, it didn't have any, and indeed, they had used their supply on other fixed bouquet's in the display. Naively, this year I again ordered from them, selecting an arrangement they had an image of online. Although most of the flowers were the same, the arrangement and vase were different, completing losing the artistic element displayed on the web image. The people were friendly and certainly wanted to help, but when spending over $100 on flowers I really expect them to deliver what they promise.
Today we had a pleasant surprise with blossom basket delivering a very nice flower arrangement that better matched what I had originally ordered. I definitely appreciate the gesture, and was happy to show my wife that I had ordered something beautiful.
