Santa's Rock N Lights — Attraction in Urbandale

I wished I checked the reviews here first before going.

The time it took to get through it was 20 min. You might get 30-40 min if you never step on the gas pedal.

As an alternative to Jolly Holiday lights…it was a let down. It was nothing like it was advertised on social media.

Jolly Holiday Lights had a lot more. Especially animated ones. This light display show did not.

There may have been fuller displays due to the material but it was not as MANY displays as Jolly.

It was annoying that the cars around us didn’t turn off their lights or cars had parking lights on.

This was a one time for us and a never again.

I DONT recommend this event. I do recommend going around the Des Moines area instead and enjoying neighborhoods than this...

Ghosts of Christmas Past: It’s a shadow of what it was a few years ago. Light displays in the parking lot section and the final section before you exit feel like they’re about half the number of lights/displays they used to be. I’m not sure if that’s permanent or not. There were stacks of light displays not put up yet as of December 13 (see photo). It feels like displays break and they just don’t get new ones aside from one or two new additions. Radio also randomly reset twice so music was not synced with lights. No longer...

We have done this in each of the past 4 years. It used to be under $30, now it is over $40 after the fees. The quality of the display was consistent in the past but this year was a significant downgrade. A significant number of displays were not fully working. It also looked like several displays were never set up at all (just lying on the ground, not plugged in).

The kids still enjoyed it, but it is getting very hard to justify the price based on the quality of...
