Grant Park, popularly referred to as "Chicago's front yard," is a 319-acre urban park in downtown Chicago that dates to the city's founding and contains some of the city's leading attractions. Named in 1901 to honor President Ulysses S. It annually hosts some of Chicago's biggest festivals, including Taste of Chicago, Chicago Jazz Festival, Chicago Blues Festival, Grant Park Music Festival and Lollapalooza, a popular multi-day, multi-stage festival of rock concerts. If that isn't enough, the park also includes a section of the 18-mile Chicago Lakefront Trail, the Grant Park Skate Plaza for skateboarders and BMX bikers, two marinas that provide moorings for 1,000 boats, the 18,000-square-foot Grant Bark Park for dogs to get their exercise, 16 softball/baseball fields and 12 tennis courts. The park is within walking distance of Navy Pier, the most popular tourist attraction in Illinois, the Magnificent Mile, Chicago's premier shopping mecca, and Soldier Field, home of the...

Lots of kids, tweens and adults using everything the...
