Sushi Yes — Restaurant in Shelby Charter Township

Okay, it's been awhile since I've said anything about a restaurant. Sorry about that. But I'm back on here to tell you all that Sushi yes is an absolutely awesome place to get food. It's like a Hidden Gem. It's off in the corner where you barely would notice that it's there, but it is very homey, polite, and good. I have been terrified for a long time to eat anything Sushi related, but even if you are not a sushi buff they have an wide array of dishes that are not sushi. It is definitely worth you coming in and trying even if you don't eat sushi. If you eat sushi and you have a friend that does not, this is the perfect place to bring them because there's so much more to offer than just sushi. My wife eats Sushi I do not. I get the shrimp tempura, the gyoza, they have some other fried mashed potato thing that is awesome. You can actually pick up mashed potatoes with your hand because it's fried. I also get the vegetable spring rolls. It is a wonderful comfortable small place. They definitely need to expand to a larger restaurant because now it seems like it's getting very busy. I have been coming to this sushi place since it opened. I actually stopped by, by chance, around the time they opened and have been ordering from here since. Everything is always fresh, beautifully presented whether it's dine-in or takeout. Servers are so kind and courteous and will answer any questions you have and customize any roll if you'd like. The ambiance inside is clean and calm. It's very bright and well spaced so you don't feel like you're going to crash into anyone walking around or moving at your table. Prices are pretty comparable to most restaurants - and in some cases, better priced. This ALWAYS gets me to order more than I intended, haha.

While many sushi restaurants offer customization, these guys just knock it out of the park. Flavors are phenomenal. We usually get a at least one spicy roll deep fried in tempura - you have to try it! Gyoza soup for 2 is always super fresh and hot and will fill you up if you're not careful! The name of this restaurant, Sushi Yes, is a suitable one which accurately reflects my experience. I really could not say no to trying their sushi, and I could not say no to their special offer. I saw it as a challenge that I had to accept. It was spend $40, choose one complimentary roll among Fried Rock'n, Baby Bumblebee, or American Dream. I easily hit the $40 mark considering the seven rolls I ordered, and I chose the Baby Bumblebee.

The Baby Bumblebee was so delicious! It was a shrimp tempura with spicy tuna, and crab sticks. It was topped with a spicy mayo and eel sauce.Just writing all this and thinking about all the sushi is making me want to go there as soon as they open again.
