My husband and I had a terrible experience with this florist. My husband was trying to surprise me with flowers for our anniversary, and we were met with nothing but unprofessionalism. Our card has extra security measures in place and will sometimes decline transactions that are in an unfamiliar place. Frustrating, but the solution is simple, and all we need to do is text our bank to confirm it is a legitimate transaction or give them a call. When my husband called the florist after getting the notification that the card declined, again, for security purposes, the associate on the phone kept calling my husband broke, said she wouldn’t make the bouquet of flowers because he’s broke and obviously doesn’t have money. He called the bank to confirm this is a legitimate transaction, and even told the associate the card is good to go, but she basically antagonized and was making fun of him that he had no money. It got to the point where my husband was trying to reason with her, and she continued to cut him off and not let him speak. We ourselves own a business and of course have money, but the extra security measures are in place due to that reason. We have had circumstances of our card information being stolen, and have these security measures in place because of it. Again, this has nothing to do with having no money. We absolutely have money. With owning our own business, we would NEVER think to speak to any of our customers that way. We have customers who have cards that have declined during processing, and often have the same security measures in place that we do with their credit cards. It’s no big deal, and it has been a fast fix with texting back to confirm the transaction, or a quick call to the bank. We have NEVER assumed a customer was “broke” because their card declined. Margaret and her staff at a Special Touch Florist in Utica are terrific. They go above and beyond to help make your occasion a success. I was planning on making my own arrangements for my dad’s 95th bday celebration and decided 3 days before the event that it would be difficult to get the flowers that I thought of purchasing and also be able to make 11 arrangements, so I drove around and called various local florists and most of them could not take my order because it was Mother’s Day weekend and they were already swamped. With me ready to give up, I walked into A special Touch Florist and my day was made. After talking with Margaret and her staff they calmed my nerves by assuring me they could fill my order. They ordered my flowers and worked within my budget. The flower arrangements were beautiful. I received many compliments from our guests. A big thank you to Margaret and her staff for saving the day. Truly breathtaking. I recieved these flowers from my s.o on a Saturday a lot of flower places do not deliver on the weekend, but this one does 🌹! The gentleman who delivered them was very courteous and professional. The flowers them self are white carnations and lavender long stem Rose's, (see photos labeled "My Lavender Surprise") decorated beautifully with babies breath, and a bit of sparkles (yes sparkles! 💜) The size of the arrangement is big (bigger them my cats who are big cats lol) I hope I am safe to assume this bouquet is long stem long everything!) I honestly can not say enough amazing things about this specific bouquet. This is not a fake review, This is as real as reviews get and I will absolutely do business with this company many more times in the future and I HOPE my s.o will do the same after seeing my reaction to this stunning bouquet.
