I have been to this location a few times over the past few years and this is the 2nd time now (and the last) an almost identical scenario has taken place here. This was a drive thru order around 7:50pm
Our two #5 meals had 2 large drinks and we added a large sundae and a large shake. They handed out the food in a over stuffed bag (as they always do with everything crammed to the top) with the side torn out on it with food items poking through. This will come into play later.
The girl hands you a drink carrier (double stacked but doesn't help) with all the drinks and sundae in it. NOTHING is actually secured and pushed down into the carrier, just placed on top. Everything is literally just balancing loosely over their spots. The sundae is sitting there visibly crooked about to fall out. Its not immediately noticeable everything else is loose because at first everything is standing somewhat straight. Also the shake has half an inch of chocolate syrup/sediment at the bottom, doesn't even look mixed.
Just as we pull away from the drive through, the first to tip over was one of the large pops, then went the shake and the rest. My daughter caught the pops before they fell out completely but not before a lot of pop spilled and the shake went all over the front seat. The shake is all over the car floor, seat and down into the track and underneath, the side of the door, my daughters lap, her phone, and soaking into the car seat.
The food bag I mentioned? We had set the food bag on the floor of the passenger side where my daughter was sitting so it doesn't tip over while driving. Now things are spilling everywhere and picking up the food bag to move it out of the way of the mess that is happening and the WHOLE already ripped side gives way and tears out completely spilling burgers and fries.
It's 89 degrees outside today. Whole car starts to smell like rotting milk before getting home. It took me 45 minutes clean up and to continuously scrub the the carpet and front seat and get things cleaned up the best I could in this heat before I could eat my cold shitty food I paid almost $40 for.
Even without this disaster they set me up for the sundae was only filled to the halfway part of the container where the lid separates with ice cream so it's like I got a small sundae when I paid for a large. There was hardly any topping on it, like a teaspoon worth to take a guess. So that's just salt in the wound to an experience that is already a really frustrating chain of events set in motion by these careless people.
I don't want anything except for management and DQ to know how terrible this crew and location is. I'm over this place and done with it. There's no reason to tolerate this level of service or product. It's insulting. Securing drinks in the carrier is basic expectation. Not over stuffing food bags is basic expectation. Not handing over bags with tears in them because they're too full is basic expectation. Making a strawberry sundae the size purchased is a basic expectation. This location fails on all of them. I don't want a refund. I just want somebody to know what it's like here. I'm never...
Read moreThis was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a Dairy Queen. My order was made wrong, and instead of remaking it properly, they just tossed the mint in and handed it back half-blended. When I questioned it, the manager, “Noelle”, was extremely rude and dismissive. When I asked for her name, she actually hid behind the register rather than take responsibility.
To make matters worse, the young staff were acting immature, laughing about the mistake, and even tossing the ice cream around like it was a joke. This level of unprofessional behavior is completely unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and to receive the product I ordered — not attitude, laughter at my expense, and a sloppy half-fix.
Management and staff at this location clearly need serious training in customer service and professionalism. I do not recommend this Dairy Queen and will think twice...
Read moreWent there tonight to get my mothers favorite cone Cherry dipped in a cup and before my order was placed there was apparently a rude customer in the drive thru..unfortunately that sometimes happens..we all been there and had a rough day. Matthew handled it brilliantly and afterwards came over to take my order apologized for the situation and didnt waste anytime in ringing me up and handing me the cup I don't know if he's a manager but he sure has the respect and knowledge on how to treat people. I like to go to Dairy Queen especially during the summertime and it's people like Matthew the reason why people come back and wait in line because we all know there are good hard working people working there who actually care about doing right no matter what. You can tell especially the older you get when a place is worth giving your business. And this DQ definitely is....
