They refuse to share information about their safety plan during Covid-19. They drove from a highly contaminated state to Alaska, I had to ask if they are taking precautions. Under a FB post they shared that they are opening up the RV park, I asked if they are opening it up to out of staters. I got back some attitude for asking, but I down played it respectfully. I also asked other questions about safety for Alaska and itโ€™s people. I then got harassed and targeted. People then told me โ€˜they donโ€™t have to tell you anything about safetyโ€™. They tried to twist my words and play them in their head with malice, when all I have in mind is safety. They never once updated people or posted anything about covid-19 and their safety plan or even mentioned they had one. Not once, just a joke about it, there is nothing funny about a virus that is highly contagious. Itโ€™s good business to reassure people in a time like this. There are a LOT of older folks who enjoy their park, to include my own grandparents. So if me asking about safety makes me a bad person, then I am a bad person. But I wonโ€™t risk the safety of my loved ones, not on a place that cares so little about important information. Whatโ€™s sad is this whole thing could have been avoided if they had written a well worded post about their safety plan. I would never have had to ask a single question about safety. But they donโ€™t have safety in mind at all. PS I have all the screen shots...

My wife and I recently spent three nights tent camping at Eagles Rest RV Park, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. From the moment we drove in, we felt discriminated against by the park employees who patrolled the grounds on golf carts. Despite adhering to all park policies, we were constantly interrupted by staff every couple of hours, who felt the need to remind us of the rulesโ€”rules we were not breaking.

It's my belief that we were singled out because we were younger than most of the other guests, who were predominantly retired RV owners. Additionally, being one of the few tent campers in a park primarily filled with over 100 mobile homes and expensive towable RVs, and having a small dog with us, seemed to draw undue attention.

One employee named Rick was particularly intrusive, repeatedly interrupting our stay to inform us that our dog could not be on the grass. This happened multiple times, even though our dog was never once on the grass. His constant harassment made our stay extremely uncomfortable and disrupted our ability to relax and enjoy our camping experience.

In conclusion, our experience at Eagles Rest RV Park was marred by what we perceived as discriminatory treatment. The repeated disturbances and unwarranted scrutiny of our small dog left us feeling unwelcome and regretting our decision to camp there. We cannot recommend this park to fellow tent campers, especially those...

I can't say I was too impressed with the staff at the park. As I was checking in our motorhome, I could see on a large board where our spot was and where my mom's cabin was. I had made sure we were relatively close to their cabin and we were. But they had to move our spot because of an issue with the sewage. The new RV spot was now even closer to my mom's cabin, but the woman checking us in did not mention that the new spot also was right next to the park's big trash dumpster. If we'd known that, we would have requested to move a couple of spots down. I also had asked the woman about my aunt's cabin reservation for the next night, just to be sure they had one and I was curious if it was going to be close to us or not. We were all in Valdez together for the annual Theatre Conference and also for our wedding. At first, the woman flat-out denied my aunt even had a reservation. Then she began quizzing me, asking me where she was from. When I gave her their home city in Maryland, she just shook her head. She would not even confirm they had a reservation! This was quite annoying and worrisome. I have worked at the front desk of a nice hotel before and I never would have put a guest through that. My aunt's cabin also was a little ways away from the rest of us and I had wished they would have tried harder to get them closer to us once they realized we were all together.

I did appreciate the nice showers and general location...

We came and tent camped for the 4th of July. Such a great location, everything is in walking distance. Great 360 views. The camp sight offers a fish fry on the 4th it was super yummy. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The tent section is nice because itโ€™s all on grass. **My only suggestion would be to have more camp fire pits.** There were about 5 camp fire pits in the tent section so it was kind first come first serve. We were fine because we got like the best fire pit for our cooking needs. But I would have been really disappointed if we didnโ€™t have a fire pit for ourselves (since we use it to cook on). The showers are nice and have great water pressure. Overall, a great campground and will definitely be coming back.

We spent 2 nights here and from the minute we arrived we felt welcomed and valued as a customer/fellow traveler. I found the laundry facilities the cleanest I have used so far on our 8,000 mile journey, trust me Iโ€™ve used some questionable laundry facilities. The showers are really clean and the water is nice and hot! As most RV parks itโ€™s a little tight but thatโ€™s to be expected but all and all I give this park a 5 star rating! If youโ€™re in Valdez Alaska and need a great place to stay Eagles Rest RV Park is a great place to stay!

Amazing facility right at the edge of Valdez. Has full city water, electricity, plumbing, and cable hookups. The wifi is also very good throughout the park. The park facilities include laundry and very clean public showers/restrooms, and the front office staff is very friendly and will help with booking local tours in Valdez. The park also includes a space for regular tents as well as glamping tents, in addition to all the spaces for RVs and trailers. It is a very beautiful backdrop.
