Belleville Lake is a fresh water artificial reservoir located mostly within Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A very small portion extends west into Washtenaw County. The lake was created from the construction of the French Landing Dam and Powerhouse along the Huron River in 1925.

My aunt doesn’t drive anymore but when she did, this was her “go-to” restaurant for fried oysters. Oysters are two dollars a piece. I’ve never had a bad batch for at least six years that I remember going to the Bayou Grill with its stuffed gator whose brothers and sisters are regularly fried up into video bites as their called. No the restaurant is not everything Cajun, but they make a great effort. Belleville getting new editions on Main St. as well as more restaurants.Presentation is good and quality is above average as far as taste and texture of dishes.
