Crafted Beanery & Gift Shop — Restaurant in Belleville

Hidden gem is such an overused and misapplied term at this point, but what else was it meant for if not Crafted Beanery?

Tucked away from downtown right next to the library, it feels almost like someone's home rather than a business.

When you go inside you immediately feel the comfortable and unpretentious vibes. Somewhere to get a hot drink and bite to eat and relax.

The chai latte is so special I have never tasted one quite like it. The owner also takes coffee seriously and offers specialty pourovers. And my god the breakfast burrito -- so fresh and unexpected at a coffee shop! But so welcome!

I have been here on a couple of occasions for coffee. I have yet to get my coffee as the smoothie called my name the first time and the second time….you get the picture. Then it was the double chocolate cake that I just had to have. In my mind I was going to eat half and save the rest for later. That cake was gone before I knew it. I also tried the breakfast burrito with the sauce. When I say the burrito was everything, it was everything and then some.

I will return with the intention of having coffee. I will find something to purchase from the gift stores and then the owner and employees will recommend another menu item and before you know it, I am in love with something else.

I went to this coffee shop, for the first time. The person that took my order, gave me the wrong size latte. After I informed her about it, and then showed her the price and size on the menu. The other young lady working there, apologized then stated the owners need to update the menu. That’s interesting because she charged me for the size I wanted and paid for, but then brought out a smaller size (the wrong size). I said okay, let me see if I can sign up on the mailing list. I was then told, I have to do it before I order, and that I could do it next time. There won’t be a next time, I tried giving them a chance. There are other coffee shops in the area, that have better customer service, and coffee. I’ll be going back there instead, total missed...
