Be aware of ordering during this season, my product arrived melted and they didn’t give me any reasonable solution. You should not be selling a product you are not 100% sure is going to arrive in perfect conditions to the final destination. Is not my fault that we are in hot weather, it’s your fault to sell something and be conscious that it could melt during the shipping. Some other companies that sell things as chocolate are not doing deliveries because they say it’s too hot and they don’t guarantee the product will arrive in good conditions. You tell me that I can do temper chocolate haha really? I didn’t buy this for doing temper chocolate, I bought it because I love chocolate chips. And then they said that I have to enter the package home as soon as it was delivered and THATS EXACTLY WHAT I DID, the doorbell sound and I opened the door immediately, so it was NOT MY FAULT. If you go to the website of Lilys chocolate they have a text above their page that says they are not doing deliveries to certain areas because of the hot weather, very smart company; not like you that are not even able to answer my emails or give me a REAL SOLUTION rather than emailing your support department that NEVER REPLIED TO MY EMAIL. My first and last purchase with you, what a bad experience. And now they blocked me from Instagram for saying my opinion, very good Santa Barbara, you are an...
Read moreI’ve been buying chocolate from Santa Barbara Chocolate for many years now. A few items have changed over the years, and in the past there have been stock issues. However, I feel that they have completely hit their stride in terms of quality and customer service. Their current offering of chocolate are fantastic!! I recently fell in love with their 72% Rainforest chips - they have a depth that the other chips do not have. Perfect for snacking, baking, pancakes, cocoa, etc. They are my go-to. I used to regularly buy the 72% without soy and while that is very good and recommended, it’s a more typical (but high quality) chocolate. They recently mixed up my order (which they fixed within hours!), and I was able to try the 70% with coconut sugar. It’s very similar to the soy-free and is great for people with allergens. It’s very good and will be perfect for baking. Again, you can’t go wrong with this company! I’ve also bought their white chocolate chips (soooo much better than store bought, you have no idea) and 100% cocoa chips (great for protein balls). Fantastic company, great products, and safe products!! With the lead and other toxins that get into cocoa products, it’s better to pay more for peace of mind and amazing quality. Plus, when you do the math, it really isn’t that much more than the over-priced ghiradelli bags from...
Read moreOff of a recommendation from @lilsipper, I ordered a large bag of the palm sugar chocolate chips and the pistachio dark chocolate bars. The box arrived packed well with an icepack but due to the heat and the fact that I work and am not home during the day, the package sat on my porch and the chocolate chips half melted. When I contacted the company, and asked for a credit back or a replacement, I was told they could not control the weather or my schedule (in so many words) and they offered me a 20% coupon code for a future order (which I will not be using), however, the most comical thing was they also included a recipe for what I could do with the melted chocolate. Creative at best, I suppose. The chocolate itself is ok, not any better than other specialty chocolate I have purchased and their price point is way off. Buyer beware. If you order from this company, make sure the weather is right for your delivery...
