ALDI — Local services in Ventura

Went to the Ventura location on Telephone Rd. earlier this week. It was early afternoon. I was looking for 2 items, found one, looked for the other item and did not find it. Noone on the floor to ask if it was out of stock, seasonal, or discontinued. Picked up a 2nd item which I didn't expect to find. I then walked to the register to pay. There was one register open and a line of 6 people all with carts 25 - 30% full. The cashier had his head down scanning items with a non-friendly look on his face. I left my items on the shelf next to where I was standing and left the store. I bought the 2 items later that day at the Gonzales Road store in Oxnard. Wait time in a short...

I've only been to Aldi's twice, both were at this location, and the clerk was extreemly rude!! Not just to me, but other customers as well. A lady came in asking it they could use the handicapt carts, the clerk just shrugged his shoulders and said "I dont know". To the point the customers in the line were trying to help her out. When it came to my turn in line, he literally picked up my items to scan and threw them into my basket one thing ontop of another like basketballs. They have a really stupid shopping cart system, you have to insert a quarter to get a cart. Mostly private label or house branded products. Great prices on house-branded products. Fair to middling prices on name brand products. Meat selection was very good, especially the beef and pork. Unhelpful, almost surly cashier. If you shop here you will end up having to stop at a real grocery store on the way home to get the stuff Aldi doesn’t sell. Can’t imagine shopping here with WinCo just across the street.
