AWESOME SANDWICH PLACE! Kind of a tucked away gem, didn't think Google maps was directing me correctly. Anyways, great sandwich place to have a bite, there affordable and have a HUGE menu and it's not just sandwiches either. They have burgers, burritos numerous different types of food. Don't let the name fool you not only sandwiches! Definitely worth a try, great prices considering the portions are generous and so are the owners. Can't say enough good things and there macaroni salad is fantastic. My wife doesn't even like macaroni salad but everytime we eat here she gets it as a side, sometimes even gets an extra side to take home. That says something right there! They also have a good potato salad/sides options and everything else you would expect at a good sandwich shop. You can also order ahead for pick up if in a hurry or anything else. Grab a togo menu when your there, bc it's extensive and you will always be able to find something new the next time you go, see if you can work through the whole menu sometime, lol. Anyways great little sandwich, lunch, early dinner gem tucked away....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was starving coming back from UCLA. So I ordered the BBQ with santa maria beans with rice and French bread. I noticed BBQ sauce on my BBQ meat. Thats usually a sign that its going to such. Well it did. It looked like Jerky and tasted like it was grilled a week ago. The santa maria beans were refried and disgusting. The Spanish rice was horrible. My father ordered fish tacos and I saw his look when he bit into them. He said that they tasted like battered tacos, hardly any fish. The best part was, they put Thousand Island dressing on them. I learned my lesson. Want some advice to improve your restaurant, take that meal off of the menu, fire the cook, because that was the most horrifying meal I had ever had to endure. I've put you on my list of places to avoid...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI give it one star because it's consistently crappie and I see that star crashing to the ground like a burning Panini. Let's start with that cheap white bread they call a roll, its more like Weber bread molded in the shap of a roll. Id rather eat subway bread. What kind of self respecting people call this a deli, it's more like a cafeteria food. I got a got pastrami and a Italian, which where both dry, especially the pastrami... I wouldn't be surprised to find they buy it precooked and sliced. The man working the registar with the big black mustache had the personality of a robot. It took close to 10 minutes to get my food at 1:45 and no one in front of me. If anyone knows of a good deli in Ventura...
