So, our experience here was actually quite enjoyable for us. We had been to another furniture maker here in Ventura and the owner was so unprofessional with their quotes, and blah blah blah. Anyway, we went on a Saturday and the owner and Mark were both there. Both were very laid back, very friendly, the owner even kicked us down a cold one to help celebrate Saturday in Ventura on a sunny day.

The main thing that put us at ease was how knowledgeable Mark was of the product's specifications. I work in product design and manufacturing, so it is nice to meet people who know details about their products construction, quality, materials, and then applications of the products! Compared to the previous company who "Thought they might last 5 years." Mark could tell me exactly why some couches last 5 years, and others 10. "Choose this fabric style for this," he says. "Use this foam density for that." "Apply pillow topping for this sensation." Do this for that, and on and on.

I'm writing this review now since (when sending this link to my mother) I just read a one star review where the customer was not happy with the treatment there, and I was surprised, honestly. I have a small house in midtown with a very weird narrow almost unusable sunroom. I have this crazy idea for some non-typical pieces to put in there. I drew up some specs for Mark and he called me back in a couple days with quotes, advice, ideas, etc. It was great effort from him and if I am being honest, it exceeded my expectations. I then went into their showroom again and showed the owner and Mark my house in Virtual Reality via Google Cardboard, and then talked about even MORE ideas for my weird room for another 30+ minutes. This was at lunch time.

So anyway, I am writing this review "cart before the horse", since the couches I purchased are still being built, but I am writing it with high confidence. I'll update to 5 if and when they arrive on time and with premium quality, or downgrade to whatever level, but I'm rooting...

In 2012 we went to this place to order a sectional sofa for our beach house. The salesman, Mark, showed us a vinyl couch he said would be easy to clean and work great with wet bathing suites. The vinyl cloth was really thin and looked cheap and when I mentioned that to him he said "Don't worry for $99 I can sell you Ultra Shield.It's an insurance policy for the couch. No matter what happens to the material they replace it for you. It seemed like a good idea so we bought it. After awhile we started noticing the surface started peeling off.I called Ultra Shield who informed me their warranty does not cover vinyl and that Wholesale Design Warehouse should not have sold it to us. I called Mark and he said on the phone that he was aware of the problems with the vinyl from that company who made it and they had since gone out of business. He did say if we come in he could help us out with a great deal on a replacement. So when we arrived we discussed the situation and Mark now said the only thing he could do was a free Ultra Shield. You mean you will give us the piece of crap Ultra Shield that doesn't cover anything again? I said what responsibility are you willing to take? He was fully aware that Ultra Shield doesn't cover vinyl but said he know nothing of it. He said they would not discount one buck off any couch for us. He would only give us the useless insurance. He needed his full profit on his sofa. Wow! What a scam this place is! Do not...

I am so disappointed with the sofa set that I purchased here a few years ago. They have NOT held up well at all. I was promised that their furniture is grade A quality. This is so not true!! These people are hustlers with a racket going on. I paid for an upgrade to a better grade of foam for the sofa cushions and did not receive that. In fact, I was frauded by these jokers. I also paid extra to have the foundation of the 4 pieces built higher than the original display. I did not receive this upgrade either. The cushions are now as saggy as can be and even more egregious is that the fabric is very badly pilled.
