The castle playground 🏰 and dragon 🐉 are my kids favorites at Deerpath Park! 📍 299 Onwentsia Rd, Vernon Hills, IL Plus, there’s a cool zip line, swings, and big slide! Bring bikes or scooters for the long trail 🚲🛴, pack a picnic, and enjoy a perfect family outing. 🌳🍉 #CastlePlayground #ZipLineFun #SwingHigh #FamilyAdventure #OutdoorPlay #ParkAdventures #Playgrounds

Deerpath Park is a clean and well maintained park just off the beaten path, nestled between a quaint neighborhood district and the Target complex. It's a great place to let kids run off some energy. I am most familiar with the north end of the park, which has two different play areas (one for kids aged 2-5, and one for 5 and up), a sand box, a basketball court, and soccer field. As far as amenities go, there is also access to a covered picnic area, public restrooms, and parking lot with space for 10ish cars.

I love a park with round steel picnic tables and benches, and this one also has a covered table. The kids loved it. Too bad it was such a chilly day we couldn't stay long. Celebrated April birthdays for Ambraya, Paxton, their dad Kingston and friend little Matthew April 2021.

Deerpath Park is one of my favorite places to meet up with friends and relax. The wide open spaces, clean walking trails, and peaceful atmosphere make it ideal for catching up, whether you’re going for a walk, having a picnic or just sitting and chatting on the benches.

The park is always clean and well-maintained with great playgrounds for kids, sports fields, and plenty of shaded areas. It’s also very accessible, with good parking and thoughtful accommodations for people with disabilities.

It’s a gem in the community whether you’re planning a casual hangout with friends or just need a breath of fresh air. Highly...

This is a very, pretty park, but not somewhere I would go again, at least until my kids are bigger PROS: -Beautiful area, with a nice paved path and watery areas with lots of birds to see -Free and easily accessible parking -Swings for little kids, the kind with the leg holes CONS: -Made for bigger kids (I took my toddler here to play and found that out (there's even a sign saying so on the playground itself, I believe it says for kids 5 -12, but I may be remembering incorrectly). -Very busy and not a lot of supervision of some of the kids, so there was some bullying going on -Not enough shady...
