Harbor Freight — Local services in Vernon Hills

I bought a rolling tool cabinet, understanding that it was just over a month until it was to be delivered to the store. When I called, I found out that my order would be delayed by over three additional weeks, and left a voicemail offering me a discount of less than $19 to compensate for that.

The tool cabinet is in stock in eight other stores locally!

I asked repeatedly to discuss the matter with the store manager, but he hasn't called me back. Then, I got an email letting me know that the item would be delayed a total of seven additional weeks. I asked for either the regional or district managers to call, and they haven't responded.

Never again. Harbor Freight...

New location with great staff! I ended up driving the 20minutes from gurnee to this location because my location was all out of the item i was looking for. I had these hb bucks that were about to expire and i wanted a couple literally just 2 of those mini tool boxes. My location (gurnee hb)called them to confirm inventory and to my luck they had a small amount available in the color i was looking for. So I took the drive with my fingers crossed as i was advised they couldn't hold the items. Once there i was immediately greeted and i asked to be shown to the mini toolboxes. I could have actually cleaned house but I only wanted 2. i got my 2 Thanks to the staff...

YES!! I am the first one to review this store. We have never been to this location yet as it has not opened yet but I am going to say it by faith, thank you Harbor Freight! It looks like an awesome location, my lady and I love the front sign. We are so glad that you guys opened a store in Vernon Hills, IL. We have been shopping at Harbor Freight for years, so excited to buy my second pair of DAYTONA 1300 lb. Capacity Self-Loading Positioning Wheel Dollies, love them!!! Thank you again.
