I purchased a diamond necklace from this place.. The owner told me that the piece was over 100 years old and when I, asked about the diamonds he (Tom) said they were VS2 to SI in clarity and G/H in color... He said his wife is the gemologist and she graded the piece so, I, decided to purchase it... I sent the piece to my jeweler who informed me that the main stone was chipped in two places and one of the smaller stones was completely cracked in half and two other small stones were chipped as well. He also said the clarity of the stones range from si2 to I2 and the color of stones range from K to L.. There were a total of 15 stones.. 14 of them were .10 points each and the middle stone is .50 carat, a total of 1.90 carat.. I than contacted Tom and told him what my jeweler said. He said well, you bought the necklace and you can't bring it back.. He said if you want I'll give you half the money you paid and you must bring the necklace back.. He did not disclose the condition of the diamonds.. Obviously he knew the stones were damaged, being his wife checked the necklace when they purchased it.. He hung up the phone on me when I asked him to take it back and when I went to the store he asked me to leave.. He wanted the necklace back for half of what I paid.. I also gave him a repair job to do for me. 3 weeks later he didn't bring it to where he gets his repairssoe, I had to take it from him. This guy is a crook!!!! Praying on out of town people......

I had such great service getting a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and then left a shopping bag behind. The owner tried racing after me to give it back but I was out of sight. The next day I retraced my steps and he gave me a smile when I walked in and said, “ you left your bag yesterday!” when he recognized me. We chatted for awhile. What a wonderful person and here’s hoping many people find a vintage jewelry piece at his shop to support his wonderful business or bring in something no longer wanted so he can sell it for them! This shop is fantastic! As a fan of vintage jewelry, they have a great selection, and some really great mid-century modern pieces. New pieces too. Prices suitable for lots of different budgets. The owner was really nice and really helpful.
