To Whom I may concern,
I visited your store in Germantown on Monday the 15th, at the time I seen the item on the order below to be found on a hanger found in the fishing department with the other ice fishing gear. At the time I did not need it however by Saturday of that week, I could have used it for a fishing excursion. That Saturday morning I checked the Fleet Farm website, finding the item, so I checked the availability by selecting “Pick Up In Store Select Store to see item availability” it shown had that the item was available at the Germantown location. My wife works 3rd shift at the hospital in Milwaukee at evening into day so I asked her to stop In Saturday morning at 7:30am to purchase the item on her way home with a screen shot of the item in hand on her phone from the Fleet Farm Website. Unfortunately she is not familiar with the store nor the item so she did her best asking a department employee help to locate the item. Again they were unable to locate the item. She was then directed to the Customer Service Counter to have the item inventory checked, being told the item was not in stock at the time she left despite here best efforts. I was disappointed to she her arrive home with out the item, again I checked the Fleet Farm website, and again the item was still available for PICKUP at the Germantown location. After pondering it a bit that day during my fishing excursion, I decided to make the purchase online that evening (around 9pm) from the Fleet Farm website as the site, still displayed the item as available for Pickup at the Germantown location. The next Morning (Sunday 21st) I received the email below stating “Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we are unable to fulfill order #MB5129410”, I couldn’t believe this item was in such a demand so I drove the 30mins from my home in West Bend to see for myself, Low and Behold the item was still in the same spot it was in back on Monday the 15th during my initial visit, in the fishing department with all the other ice fishing items. If your married you will understand when I say It was a bit of an inconvenience to ask my wife to stop in after working 12hrs to spend 45mins in your store to leave empty handed, Then to drive down an 1 hour round trip, to find the item on the hanger where it had been, When I could have used it the day prior. Please see the attached sales slip with the highlighted item purchased during my visit on Sunday 21st. I wish to hear back from Fleet Farm as to why after visiting your Germantown store almost a week earlier, that the item was still in the same location however not a staff members who work there every day and department employees specifically could find it. Please note I tried several times to contact fleet farm with no response, furthermore they offer no customer service avenues to...
Read moreI am a petite female shooter so its always a challenge to find the "perfect gun". I've been searching for a new semi-auto12g shotgun. The staff at big box stores doesn't have much product knowledge anymore and the good old boy gun shops often don't give much credibility to female shooters. Then I found Joseph B at the Fleet Farm in Germantown WI. On my initial visit, Joseph asked lots of questions about my intended use, my experience level, what guns I've owned/shot in the past and what I liked/disliked about each of them. He gave me a lesson me on gas operated shotguns vs intertia . I went home and did some research. I returned a few days later and Joe patently answered every question. Three days later, I returned and purchased the shotgun he most strongly recommended for me, a Beretta A300. He showed me how to clean the piston and explained how important this is with gas operated guns. BOY AM I GLAD I LISTENED TO JOSEPH! The next day, in below freezing weather, not only did I blast the first bird that was thrown but I scored better than I ever have, and with a brand new gun! My "perfect gun" is one I probably would never have taken a second look at. But Joe was confident that it would be a good fit for me and he was capable of communicating all the features that supported his recommendation. Honestly, he may not be able to singlehandedly solve all womans' issues with the gun manufacturers, but he can help you find the best available solution. He treated me with respect and I will return there again, and again....as long as he is there, for any future gun purchases. Kudos to Joe for taking the time to...
Read moreNot necessarily fair to rate a store on Black Friday. But, Fleet Farm in Germantown is a great location. You have to respect the retailer for not opening on Thursday/Turkey Day. I did miss out on the free stuffed animal that they hand out yearly to thr 1st 500 customers at 6am. Today visit was to pick up sidewalk salt. This was not a Black Friday item. I was amazed by how they had the store stocked with the door busters and still not impacting traffic pattern. My only complaint/issue. The salt was way in the back corner and not near the front. But like I said hard to rate a retailer on Black Friday. I do not fault them for not having closer. The product was on sale and a great price of 3.99 for a 20lb bag. One of the few retailers who has salt on sale prices.Associates are always willing to help. Today's visit I had no need for associate assistance. They had adaquate checkers as my wait was only 3 or 4 minutes and they did have a good crowd. This location is way bigger than the West Bend location. But that will be changing as Fleet Farm will be opening a bigger store late next year in West Bend. Keep up the great job Fleet Farm
It is nice to see a retailer that still offers rain checks for a product that are sold out. Today I picked up my 5 bags of Milogranite for $28.00. For the rain check program they issue you Fleet Farm card that is only for rain checks and this card has all your important information. Also they give you 10 days to pick up your rain check...
