Great local shop that supports military and law enforcement. I am up here once or twice a week because they always have good deals and their inventory is constantly changing. This is my diamond in the rough shop because their focus is on harder to find or more specialty, high quality items, such as London Bridge Trading, when compared to other "surplus" stores. If they do not have what you are looking for in the store, they can special order items in reasonable times associated with special or custom items. Jeremy and Heather work with you to get you exactly what they want. Where Ghost Army really shines is in their custom shop. Jeremy is skilled in making custom gear or modifying existing gear. I needed work done on body armor, and Jeremy took time to flush out ideas and go back and forth to find the best solution to my issue. In about a week the modifications were done using the same material used in the armor carrier itself. If you have an idea for custom gear, chances are Jeremy can make it work, and his craftsmanship is excellent. He takes pride in his work, and he doesn't stop until he gets it right and to your liking. He knows that if you are military or law enforcement, that the gear he makes needs to hold up to the rugged use of potential life and death situations, and that mindset translates to every piece of gear he makes for any one. Heather truly cares about making sure you're happy with your experience and she really goes out of her way to make sure you get exactly what you want. I don't know how many times I have been really specific in what I needed and she came through every time. She also likes to talk and get to know the customers, partly I think to better suit the attention to a customers particular needs, but also because she genuinely cares about you as a human. She is very personable and that makes me want to come back. Customers are always greeted with a "Hello". I may not walk out every time with something, but it's no loss to me because I was treated nicely, had a good time, and know that they will treat me right when I come back. Ghost Army is a small, local, specialty shop that goes above and beyond to make sure you, the customer, are satisfied. You are the bottom line in...
Read moreOver the last 4 years my husband (SGB33USACAV) and I have done ALL our FFL transfers and gun smithing at Ghost Army! As a retired military family we appreciate an efficient business!
What brought us in was the $20 FFL transfer fee (for up to 3 guns simultaneously); what has kept us going in was the friendly, professional atmosphere of this family business.
Heather is current and very knowledgeable on all federal and state government regulations. She is a font of knowledge! Heather will email or text (whichever you prefer) when your transfer arrives and if need be will hold it if you are out of town or on a military deployment. Several times she stored ours for two weeks (with no complaints and timely reminders). Jeremy has fixed several issues with my pistols and the work was superb!
We have referred many friends and neighbors to Ghost Army for FFL transfers and they are always impressed; even driving crosstown while passing other guns stores.
We will continue to take all our 2A needs to Ghost Army and plan on taking our grandson in to see Jeremy's private militaria collection. It's not just a store it is a museum!
Where else will you find 20$ FFL transfers?! Nowhere else! So go...
Read moreIf you're into history or military memorabilia, this place is for you. Take time to visit with the staff. They are most knowledgeable and eager to share their knowledge and experiences with you. This shop is almost like visiting a military museum. They best part is the exhibits are for sale and you can own your own piece of history. Don't be timid like I was when I visited; stop and chat with the staff. There are items from $5 on up into the thousands. I was expecting a place to buy tactical gear. My son was looking for gear to play airsoft. The store wasn't what I expected, but we were pleasantly surprised to find this little gem. I plan to bring my husband back as he is a history buff and will get more enjoyment out of the visit...
