This is such a fun experience to have in Visalia. My kids love the experience of going to a ball game. The tickets are well worth it and you can even score free ones to sit on the grass. It has been remodeled over the years and is really nice. They have a variety of themed nights during this season which are fun to attend. They will have freebies and contests, and different vendors.
When my kids were young we used to do the kids club and pay a cheap price for a T-shirt and access to several games. There was also a special area that they could go play in.
The food is pretty good but expensive. It’s what you would expect at a ball game. They usually have a booth that sells kettlecorn and a shaved ice vendor.
They seem to always give out freebees of some kind. They will throw shirts in the crowd and give the kids trinkets or glow sticks.
My favorite though is firework Fridays. Usually they are packed so you should get tickets ahead of time especially if you are particular on where you sit. It’s so much fun to watch the game and then Watch the fireworks with music. My kids love being able to see several firework shows during the season.
The stadium is definitely not as big as Fresnos but it is a perfect size to feel safe letting my older kids run around without me, getting food and chatting...
Read morenice place! but....
so I got invited to come there and sit on the pasture for 4th of July. was super excited because in the past pasture seats mean it's more relaxed..you can kind of treat it like a picnic.
but not here.
so ...we didn't stay, cuz we had all these snacks and our chairs ..etc.
but the place looks beautiful! and I'm sure it would have been fun.
so I just gave it 3 stars for that reason ...not really their fault!
just trying to make sure others know before they go too!
if I had seen the website instead of getting invited, I might have known
just don't want anyone else to have a day trip ruined! (also....I definitely wouldn't go back for pasture seats because I don't want to sit on the ground for 2-3 hours. I did think that seats would be allowed...but they're not! so .. definitely be...
Read moreI had forgotten what Single-A baseball was like. Pretty cool. I hadn't been to see Visalia since they were the Oaks, now the Rawhide. One-Dollar beers were good and cold, just remember it's until 8 p.m., and unsure if that's at every game. Seats are inexpensive and close to the action, very cool! However I did call ahead and ask if it would be cheaper if I purchased my three tickets by phone or online, person said I'd save $4.50 if done online and I was still charged for it. No biggie. Unsure as to the renovation, but the place looks good. We'll go back soon. If you go: park across the street near RR tracks, all free. Take a baseball glove and sit near first-base and along right-field fence. And all August, kids under 12 get a free (no seat) ticket to the grassy area...
