Visalia Parks & Recreation Department — Local services in Visalia

Hi everyone, Please be very cautious when renting a harbor. I rented a harbor at Blain Park. I spoke to the receptionist several times about the volts that the harbor provides. The day of our party NO electricity was connected. I was able to get help from the parks cleaning crew (luckily, because the gal said she usually cleans this park last) to get ahold of the park rangers. I called the number listed in the harbor and the office was CLOSED for the weekend. They where out of the office and never turned in the power, even though we talked several times before the party. Luckily at 12:43 the power was turned on. Our party started at 1pm. All the food was cold. We where not able To decorate how we had planned. We where there since 9 realizing NO power. Blain Park office staff dropped the ball. The NEVER intended to give us power. On Monday I asked for a refund because of all their errors and stress that it caused for the day. They said no, that their contract says they do not need to Provide us with energy. But the where quick to collect their $85.00 fee from me. I will NEVER use Visalia Recreation. They are shady and don’t care about...

Only 6 public tennis courts available in a city of 130,000 people. The tennis courts are at a remote city park that is only available by driving to the edge of town. What a shame for a city that has perfect tennis weather year round. All school courts are locked up. It is sad to see teenagers walking around the courts with tennis racquets in their hands checking all the locks at the courts for one that...

I got a email with dates.. I called to see what it meant and the lady was so rude... She said if I was done talking so she could talk then said to me that she don't no what it means she was told to send it and that's what she did.. sad why people are so mean. I'm disappointed and of all parks and rec. I won't use there service more than I have too. I wasn't in the mood to stand...
