CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK! EDIT: We’ve been back 👍🏻 & still love Left of Center. Added more photos, sweet potato fries are delicious 🤤 the breeding is perfect

Fresh American twist on Mexico food. Everything tasted FRESH, the focus of the food is on the ingredients. NOT greasy at all! That's rare when eating Mexican food. My mom & I went on a recommendation, it's kind of a "secret spot."

Appetizers (including nachos, sliders & empanadas), salads, tacos, burgers, pasta, main entrees (ex: steak, salmon), alcoholic drinks & dessert. Interesting menu, our waiter described the food as Italian/Mexican!

The lack of windows in our seating area was strange.

I loved the roasted green peppers & cumin lime crema, spicy & tangy. Empanadas were STUFFED & juicy chicken. The pastry dough tasted like a cross between home made flour tortillas & pie dough. Meat in the sliders had a "smokey flavor" & chunks of spicy green peppers. Since we're used to eating at Pismo's in Fresno, my mom asked me if the bruschetta topped salmon was good? Yes! It's just a DIFFERENT STYLE solely "focused on the flavor of the meat." Tender and moist with a rich salmon flavor.

*Location's across the street from the downtown Smart & Final, SE corner of Johnson & Center. 1 block north of downtown. The parking was a bit tricky, just parallel park on the street. *If your car's low to the ground, stick to parking...

I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and I always loved their food and drinks. Their nachos and Serrano cilantro margarita are a must try. On my last visit there my experience was very unpleasant and somewhat uncomfortable. I ordered an apple pecan salad and added grilled chicken, the chicken had a lot of cartilage pieces that gave the chicken an unappealing texture. When the server was notified she responded in a very defensive manner and tried to excuse it by stating that it was made with chicken thighs (nowhere on the menu was that specified). The server completely dismissed my concern and refused to take off the salad from the bill and kept making disrespectful facial expressions and even showed my plate to her co-workers and laughed. She also never offered to replace the dish. I ended up paying half the price even though I only had a couple of bites and I almost threw up after chewing on those gross pieces of chicken. I didn’t mind paying half the price, but her reaction was totally unprofessional and...

All right so I have to be realistic and not just go off my emotions LOL so I feel a 2 star is fair. First off I will say that the lady at the counter who I assume is the owner is a sweet heart. Now... I couldn't believe when me and my wife finished ordering a salad a sandwich and a side of guac chips and salsa our total was $40!!!! I realized that we paid $12 for maybe a little more than a 1/4 cup of guac a handful of chips and about 3 tbsp of 3 kinds of salsa. It was more than my chicken "torta" I had. Now getting to the torta, the chicken was rubbery and the batter was well.. Kind of slimy. The sweet potato fries are too LARGE! Bigger isn't always better, the potatoes were uncooked, smaller cuts would make for a better fry definitely. This is probably our second bad experience here, I dont feel that we will be back and time soon. The presentation is nice, but maybe focus on quality a little more. Sorry, I don't enjoy giving negative reviews but I got to be...

Went here on a Friday evening. Place was pretty packed. Parking was a little tight since there's limited parking, but you can also park on the street. We were a party of about 9 for a friend's birthday. Service was very attentive, friendly and prompt. I ordered their Shrimp Taco plate with a Serrano Cilantro Margarita drink on the side. The margarita was very refreshing with a nice hint of spice and zest. The shrimp tacos were really good. The chipotle aioli adds a nice touch. I also tried their nacho plate that was good. Overall, a good experience. I think they need to work on the aesthetics of the interior, specifically the big room, but the food and service were really good. Definitely worth trying. Menu posted was August of 2023, and I believe their menu is seasonal.
