We had a TERRIBLE experience at Practically Pikasso for my daughter's birthday party. I called about 3 weeks in advance and reserved a party date/time for my daughter's party. I went to drop off the deposit a week before the party and since I had never been there the lady at the register showed my around and told me that we would have our own host to assist with the party and that the room would be decorated with balloons. I notified the staff when I reserved that I had a big group of kids (20-25) coming. I was told that it was okay. The day of the party we got there about ten minutes ahead of time and the party room was not decorated. There was only one employee for my party of 25 kids and about 30 other people (not from my party). It says on their website that "When you book a party at Pikasso, you're event will be in the Party Room along with balloons on the table"). I had to send someone to the store to buy balloons and help set up since nothing was done They did not greet my daughter or say happy birthday they made no big deal out of the fact that we were there for her birthday. Additionally, the air condition was not working and it was almost 100 degrees in the building. When we needed paint, a guest of ours had to retrieve it. I had to literally get up every time to go find my hostess. I had no time to spending enjoying the party because I pretty much had to cater to my guest. We had no help. The host did apologize and said they never had a party that big. I expressed to her how disappointment I was, I told her that I was told I would have 1 person for my party not someone for the whole place. She states their usually not busy on Sundays that’s why the only have one employee working. After seeing how upset I was she called for help, so an older lady came in. She was not any help she actually made thing worse because when I was checking out they both started arguing in front of my daughter about a discount. Yes they offer to take $14.00 dollars off, of my $350.00 bill. I was not the money that I was worried about. I was concern about my daughter and how disappointment she was of her party. It was definitely not what she expected. I did not expect this establishment to be this unorganized and unprofessional. I called to talk to the owner the following day to explain how dissatisfied I was, she was argumentative, but did apologize. She explained that they did not expect that many people to show up on a Sunday. I explain to her how that was not my problem . It wasn't like my daughter's party hadn't been on the calendar for a month. They should have been more prepared with enough staff. She said that she would do something "nice" for us next time we came in. I told we would not be coming in at all anymore! They did not offer to deduct any cost from our bill for the poor service . Truly, it was the most embarrassing time of my life ! I had family and friends there that I had to keep apologizing to. :( Not a good experience and I would definitely NOT recommend this...

However, the last time we went, my partner and I spent several hours painting a Christmas tree candle holder and when we went to pick it up, Practically Pikasso had lost our item. The two employees that we spoke to (including one who was, I believe, the manager) were pretty defensive and unhelpful about the whole experience. While I understand that these kinds of things happen, we were not even offered an apology for losing the item we painted, let alone a refund or a comped alternate item. We went back and forth with Practically Pikasso for more than a month requesting that they refund us the studio fee and cost of the item, but were unsuccessful. We were disappointed to lose several hours of painting and more than $50 on the item, and Practically Pikasso lost...
Read moreWe had our niece's 13th Birthday Party here recently and the staff was incredible. All of the sudden one of the two ladies working had to rush home and the one young lady who was left was just bombarded with customers. She remained calm, kept her cool and treated each customer like they were her only customer. I am sorry I did not get her name. She was very sweet, patient and knowledgeable about the products and processes. I must admit we did make bit of a mess with confetti (which we helped clean up) but she handled all of it with composure. This was my first time here and I am definitely coming back. Some of the parents of the kids attending the party said they would be back too now that they know about you guys. Thank you for helping us make my niece's 13th birthday...
