Half Price Books Outlet — Local services in Waco

I travel all around so I've seen practically every Half Priced Books location in the Midwest, so finding a location which was an outlet I'd never been to enticed me to travel out to see it.

I've always found Half Priced to have high quality used books, with the rare water damage or sun damage but always cleaned up as best you can for their presentation on the shelf.

The two books I bought at this location were....sticky? Like jam sticky? Like someone donated jam fingered books. This might be a random customers doing, who knows.

The workers were friendly and explained to me the idea behind the outlet. You can't hold it against them if they are the place other locations send the stuff they can't sell. Plus this location doesn't do buy-backs, just donations. Sticky books just come along with that principal when there's no quality control found with when they buy books. A donation is a donation.

My purchases should be able to be cleaned up with a little work, so all of that shouldn't keep you from checking out this location for some...

Ok this is actually my favorite store ever. I could stay here all day. What attracts me to this store specifically is the very nice staff and the AMAZING prices. If the prices were to ever change, I genuinly think I would cry and it would be a topic of discussion in therapy. I've gotten so many good books from here and the people are always so very nice and helpful and it's so well run. They used to sell vintage magazine ads for 50¢ and I've spent so much money on those. They were out when I last went but it's still a very cool thing to do.

Now I don't live in Waco but I used to. Now everyone i visit, this store is a must on my list of stops. Love this place so much, never...

I'm a little old school when it comes to reading. Feeling the weight in your hands, page after page you flip of a great book you can't put down and don't want to end. Your riveted by every word, you purposely read slower as your peripheral notices the end drawing near. The smell of the paper, the texture, the satisfaction of turning the last page of a great novel. If you enjoy reading actual books and don't like straining your eyes on digital electronic words, this is a great place. Found this place online, they have books and books and not just books.
