1 star is plenty for the DISGUSTING customer service at this store. If I could give a rating minus 5 stars, I certainly would. What the heck do this particular store owners / the staff at the billing counter, think about themselves? Stores don't do any SERVICE to the customers. It is the other way around. You people are not giving away anything free of cost. So, NO NEED to be rude to the customers. NEVER again will I shop at this horrible store again. GOOD RIDDANCE. LEARN some customer service. If this is the service these bugs provide here in the USA where other stores have generous return policies and reasonably good customer service, imagine the customers' plight in India if they have stores there. Bought a pressure cooker gasket (which was not even properly sealed in the first place). I assumed it might have been that way because of improper handling and storage during shipping because they all are shipped from India to these stores here. The gasket did NOT fit the model PC we had, as mentioned on the package. So, this week, we visit the store again to return it (as exchange for something else at the store). They had very few gaskets (seemingly old, worn packages again) already and none of those seemed to fit the PC what we had. So, after buying groceries worth $65, we tell her it did not fit our model of PC, so we need to return it and that we showed her THE RECEIPT from the last week (Their store policy says "returns within 7 days with receipt"!!). She looks at it and says they don't accept "opened" items. We had to tell her that is how it almost was. We did not even try too much to open it. It was just "sealed" in the center of the package. Then the other girl was examining it as if they are selling shiny brand-new-looking products and the ones we returned was probably used! Then after muttering among themselves, she started billing our groceries by throwing things around as if they are doing a HUGE service and favor for us by accepting a return for a product worth JUST $5.99. DESPICABLE folks! When will they ever realize that it was OUR MONEY in their pocket which they are so fussing about giving back? Did they give it to us for free? WHY sell something ill-fitting when you cannot accept its return? If you cannot stand behind your products, QUIT selling. The store is NOT even well-stocked, nor neatly arranged, nor arranged properly category-wise nor big enough to move the...
Read moreThe store offers a wide selection of Indian groceries, spices, snacks, and household items. The shelves are stocked with a decent assortment of products, allowing customers to find the essentials they need for their Indian cooking and culinary needs. From lentils and rice to exotic spices and condiments, Patel Brothers provides a range of options.
The staff members at Patel Brothers are generally helpful and knowledgeable about the products they offer. They are usually willing to assist customers in locating items or answering questions. However, at times, the store can get busy, resulting in longer wait times at the checkout or difficulty in finding staff members readily available for assistance.
The pricing at Patel Brothers is reasonable, with competitive rates compared to other Indian grocery stores in the area. While some items may be slightly higher in price, the quality and variety of products often make up for the difference. It is worth noting that occasional sales and promotions offer opportunities for customers to save on their purchases.
The store's cleanliness and organization are satisfactory, but there is room for improvement. At times, shelves may not be adequately restocked or products may be misplaced, which can make finding specific items challenging. While the store is generally kept clean, it may benefit from more consistent attention to ensure a more polished shopping experience.
One aspect that could be improved is the overall layout and convenience of the store. The aisles can feel cramped, especially during peak hours, making navigation a bit cumbersome. Additionally, the parking situation in the area can be challenging, with limited spaces available, especially during busy times.
In conclusion, Patel Brothers in Waltham, Massachusetts offers a decent Indian grocery store experience, catering to the needs of the local community. While the store provides a satisfactory range of Indian products and helpful staff, there are areas where improvement could enhance the overall shopping experience. With attention to organization, convenience, and customer service, Patel Brothers has the potential to elevate its offering and deliver an even better experience for...
