Read moreUPDATE. I received a call from Scott, a manager after I posted the review. He apologized and said they would work with me. He explained their return policy which I totally understand and now am aware. I came in and saw Melody and she worked with me to find something much more suitable for the space that I am very happy with and fits perfectly.. I appreciate everything they did to make me a happier customer and I will definitely come back because they really didn’t have to accommodate me at all but I’m glad they did and for that they deserve 5 stars.
I brought a friend to Turner’s as she was looking for dining room chairs. I had no intention of buying; however I saw an ottoman that I thought would go nice in a room. I purchased the ottoman. When I got it home. It was too big. It actually blocked the doorway of where I wanted to put it. I contacted the store the next morning which was Tuesday and spoke with Melody who assisted me with my purchase. I explained the problem and asked if I could return and purchase something else that would fit better in the space. She told me they normally don’t allow returns of that nature but she would speak with the manager and see if there was anything they could do. She would call me back in about an hour. I have not heard back from her at all and guess I won’t since that was 5 days ago. It’s very possible I could have spent more money than I initially did to get something better suited for the space. Also my friend that I brought in for the chairs asked if I had heard back and I told her no which is not good customer service for a person who was planning to purchase the chairs. Read moreWe purchased a custom made couch from Turners in June. We were told mid-August delivery. Once August arrived we hadn’t heard from anyone at Turners. We finally called them because we were curious what was going on and we were told our salesperson, Katie, would call us back. After waiting a few days with no call we called back and once again they told us she would call us back. After not hearing anything for the rest of the week I drove up to the store and asked for an update. Once I spoke to the manager I was able to get Katie to call us back almost immediately and she let us know the couch was on the way and that she would call us back in 2 days to let us know the status. We waited a week and hadn’t heard anything so I had to call and speak to a manager. The manager called me back after a few hours and let me know that the couch should be in their warehouse that day and to expect a call to schedule delivery. Once again I waited until the end of the week and no call had arrived. I called back and they let me know that the couch had arrived 4 days earlier and we could schedule delivery. So now we get to wait until Wednesday of next week to have it delivered. Who knows when they would have reached out if we hadn’t called over and over again.
Overall this has been a pretty terrible experience. Any communication with Turners had to be initiated on our part. We spent $3300 on a couch and ottoman. I expect basic levels of customer service and honesty this was terrible. This will likely be the last piece of furniture we purchase from turners.
Update: Turners followed up and made it right. They got the couch delivered the next day and were great. I have added stars to reflect my experience and I will likely do business with turners...
