Interesting museum but the experience was ruined by multiple questions about what I am doing there. My sister (which is a DAR) and I of mixed race went there hoping to find information about our ancestor. After exciting the museum the visitor assistant and security was staring at us asking what we were doing and we asked if there was more to see. They first told us to go back to the museum we were just exited. Finally someone pointed to the library and informed us we could go there. We entered the library and the assistant helped us locate where in the library we might find the info and show us how to get upstairs. Once there I was approached by security who asked me what I was doing and that they were watching me on security and I was not allowed in the library without an escort. I was confused but went back downstairs with my group and asked the assistant if what the security guard stated was correct and they stated I was allowed upstairs. Amazing period rooms from different time periods in different states!. And a room with various artifacts and they have rotating exhibits. And tons of activities held throughout the year.
