This is one of my favorite 1861 US Civil Insurrection forts. It's got cool trails, it's got a plaque, it's got an old water fountain, and it's even got an old outdoor theater to put on outdoor Shakespeare plays, it's called the Sylvan theater and it ran from 1930 to the 1960s, till they took the trolley trains out. We built snow forts for snowball battles on the green in front of the Holy Name College. I lived at 1337 Ritchie Place from birth to age 10 years. Photo of me and older brothers. I'm in my Buster Brown collar and flight suit. Neighborhood terrors...

Even now at sixty five years old l live 5 minutes from the park and ride past it at least once a week. ...
