Urban City Glass — Attraction in Washington

I’m not generally one to write reviews, but I have to give credit where credit is due and the experience I had with Urban City Glass is absolutely worth a mention. I hired them recently to install a custom glass shower panel for a small bathroom that I was renovating in my DC rowhome. They responded almost immediately, on a weekend no less, and Adil and Mark came out just a few days later to take measurements and provide an estimate. They immediately demonstrated their respect for me and my home by taking off their shoes without being asked and without hesitation, which I know is a relatively small thing, but pretty impressive since I can’t even get my friends and family to do that.

Not only were they incredibly thorough with their measurements, double and triple-checking them, but their energy and attitude exemplified how truly passionate they were about their craft. I found their estimate to be very reasonable, particularly given the challenging nature of having to deal with an unlevel wall and wonky old plaster ceiling, as well as the fact that I wanted the panel to stretch from floor to ceiling, in an upstairs bathroom, that is very, very tiny. In addition, when I mentioned that I had actually already purchased (and received) a different shower panel, but that it couldn’t be installed because of the unlevel wall, they didn’t hesitate in offering to assist me in returning it to the store, since it was incredibly heavy and I would have had to hire movers otherwise. If that’s not going above and beyond, I don’t know what is.

It took perhaps a little over a week for the panel to be ready for installation. When they came back out, the installation went very smoothly, and again they were incredibly professional and such a joy to be around. And, as promised, they were kind enough to take the other shower panel I had previously purchased to the UPS store to return it, and even took a pic of the return receipt for my records.

There’s literally nothing else Adil and Mark from UCG could have done to make the experience more enjoyable, and there’s absolutely no question that I will be contacting them again for future custom...

I had the "pleasure" of getting some glass work done by Urban City Glass last week, and my impression was WOW. I have been a home owner for 20+ years and literally have weekly work done by various contractors and service providers - including glass work in the past. What was different this time? When the owner Adil showed up it was just an awesome experience from beginning to end. To start, I was difficult right out of the gate and wanted the glass work done THAT DAY. I got an appointment within 90 mins max. I was told the glass would take 2 days. Instead, the following morning (a Saturday) before 10am a text arrived to my surprise that my glass work was ready and he could install within 30 minutes if I was available - heck yes. What also struck me the most about this job was that although it was just a piece of glass, he treated the job with such professionalism and concern right from the onset. He wanted it perfect. He measured (meticulously and several times) - I knew it was going to be a perfect fit for my piece right then. When he arrived to install (did I mention it was less than 24 hours later?) he took such care to make sure it was perfect, spotless and I was totally satisfied. Payment was easy and seemed secondary to providing a perfect product for him. A true artist. I can not recommend Adil and the folks at Urban City Glass enough. Do not hesitate to put your trust and money in their hands. I am now walking through my house "looking" for additional work for them - including a new spa, their work is awesome. ...

Fantastic job and exceeded expectations! The seamless process from start to finish was less than a week.

Urban City Glass requested a photo of my broken mirror and provided an estimate within an hour of receiving. Their pricing was fair and reasonable (note I did not say cheap - you get what you pay for)!

The following day they came to take measurements and followed up later in the day with a date for installation.

The day of installation, they called in the morning to schedule specific time to come (not a 5 hour window), arrived on time and installed without incident or mess.

More often than not, companies over promise and underdeliver. That was not my experience with Urban City Glass. They were courteous, professional, respectful of my time, and delivered exactly what was agreed upon. I am a very happy customer and cannot recommend them highly enough. If you need mirrors for your home or workplace look no further, and feel assured you will be dealing with professionals who take pride in their work.
